It's so amusing on this forum how so many people have a "butter wouldn't melt in their mouth" attitude
I love K-Tec for a mail order company, they've been utterly superb with me over the last 2 years. Ordered parts at 5pm and had them at 8am the next day. The lads are really friendly, Martin is...
What's so bad about DTH? Other than K-Tecs self destructing air filter
I'm so glad I got Jenveys - the build quality is worth it alone
That kit on ebay is actually a hell of a bargain if it really does come with solid fuel rail etc..
And a base map to get you going
An afternoons work...
Problem is the point where the nipple contacts at the bottom is quite small and broken through into the fluid reservoir
if you grind it - it will just make the opening bigger and harder to seal :(
If it was me I'd try some brand new bleed nipples just and tighten 'em a bit more than I usually...
I see andyrg fitted a megane 225 head and turbo etc.. onto a 172 bottom end
That way you keep the 172 box
Would be nice to have the 6 speed box from the 225 too though
Change of situation.. Last 2 years have been supporting a girlfriend through Uni. She's getting a job again in June and I'll be back to having a bit of disposable dosh
Obviously it's getting 888's or 595 RS-R's or something first, and I want to change the seats to something that hold me a bit...
Oh looking at K-Tecs rotrex kit it can fit straight onto a Cup where the Air Con pump is meant to be
£4k though... ouch - even selling the Omex and bodies and everything with them I'd have a £2.5k bill
But 250bhp is tempting!
Yeah I'd rather keep the Omex over an RS Tuner map on standard ECU LOL
I would have to buy standard inlet manifolds again as I sold mine, and the ECU loom would probably need doing
How does a supercharger conversion compare? I know in the 106 scene you used to be able to buy a bracket and...
There's a lot of things going through my head at the moment with the Clio... I won't bore you all to death with it.. but one of them is to sell the bodies (and omex if needed), buy a spare low mileage engine and build up a turbo'd lump.
Roughly (and I know this is an how long is a piece of...
I think perhaps the issue with having to save a few pennies in places and not having the full spec engine he wanted, and maybe even going out this year to get some time in the seat without a full spares package has a lot to do with spending £££££'s on a car that then wasn't reliable or race...
It's still like carrying a house brick in your pockets - and the screen is too big to reach with your thumb
You need to be using both hands which drives me nuts
^^ This
I sold my iPhone 4 this week and went to play with the new samsung galaxy s2.1 web3.0 or whatever they're called just to give them a chance
Holy s**t it wouldn't even fit in my pocket
Bought an iPhone 5 - there's still no decent alternative
Well even if I was trying to be more helpful - here's the information you missed
- Style of bag. Backpack? Sling Shoulder? Journalist?
- Equipment. DSLR? Lenses? iPad/Tablet? Laptop? Rangefinder/CSC? Do you want to carry a tripod in it or on it?
- Design preference. Want something that's...
You can't transfer how a car suspension works to a plane
AFAIK planes don't use springs on the suspension - it's just a giant piston with oil and the friction of moving through the oil absorbs the impact
I would have thought a spring is a very bad idea when landing a plane on perfectly...
Oh cool - so do a search to see what bags people use, they all look s**t, so ask what bags people use and expect a different answer to last time
Good luck with that
You've only got three choices here
1) Drive to kwikfit or motasave or whatever is near you and friendly - ask them to just rattle the nuts on, takes literally 8 seconds and they'll do it for a bit of beer money
2) Drive to toolstation like I did and fork out £110 on a cordless impact gun...
^^ That's also my major concern with it
The steering on the Megane 250 I blatted around Brands Hatch was shite - it turned in quickly and handled well but the steering wheel felt like an xbox one - there was no feedback from the road at all :(
Defo put it on a variable switch - no PAS on track is a nightmare
I was going to switch at some point this year to a saxo/106 electric pump, but after seeing James (BIGASH) convert to the dci electric column I'm VERY tempted to do that
It works out at about £100 in parts and then you end...
Sounds like you're blowing fuses
Step away from the electrics
In a car that is already legendary for UCH issues - I really wouldn't feck about with the electrics just to install a fast&furious starter button lol
I use the same as what Dan does - it's stupidly cheap and easy
The pressure ones I've had before have all blown seals or gone wrong in some spectacular way
That one Dan's posted is just a pipe with a one way valve at the end so it can't suck air back in - works spot on
