Forgot the window regulator went on the drivers side the other day so got that swapped out and hopefully stopped the glass rattle again. All ready for tomorrow and camping if the weather stays good.
That will be it. Not the first time I'v heard Danny give that advice either. You wouldn't think they roll enough to be on the bumps stops but they must.
Not sure of AST differences etc but PMS offer Bilstein fitment mounts that fit cup racer suspension with no sleeves, reducers etc and they do the same ones but they come with an adapter nut for the thinner oem and 90% of aftermarket suspension.
All noise and no go iirc. The sound though is nearly worth the shocking fuel consumption.
They pull like a train right through the speedo but there not 'fast'
Martin, are you sure those strut top nuts are correct in the centre of the picture? Both mine just have little 17mm slimline nuts to hold the spring on!!!
Yeah will do I'm heading to Knockhill for a TD (100 miles each way) so it will be a good run to check it out. I'm only £20 to add it to my Clio policy for a week when I need it too :).
Lol :banghead: thats what I have said up there ^^^^. Cup arms have extra caster and with Renault doing it this way (moving the wheel forward) instead of moving the strut top back it will rub as we have all said. I just don't think it is rubbing your (metal) brackets with just sportlines though.
Funny you say that, I still struggle to get correct spelling of friends names after many years. Tell me an engine size or car name and I'll remember though haha. Sub conscious selective memory I blame it on.
Muts even got a touch of walnut detailing (plastic)
Not my first choice as i would really like a kitted out transit but i'm really growing to like it. Drives better than most big jeeps i have had a shot of. I'm not sure how well the book figures relate to real life tbh. I got 80miles to £30...
Yes its because the caster. You shouldn't need to bend anything with just sportlines, I have driven my car pretty hard on track with them and 205/45/16 and never touched the bracket. Just let the tyres run there course on the liners would be my advice.
Still waiting on a word back for these brackets, will try get a few more quotes.
I am, just couldn't be bothered to do it before Saturday.
Is that with or without a full interior, tool kit and a lump of a passenger?
No won't change the geomatery with that little movement mate, the closer...
Set about getting the car ready for Saturday at Knockhill
Gave the xenons a quick buff up while I was doing the jeep.
Polished the rs2 and then fitted a new JMS sticker as it was missing when I bought it.
Fitted Scotland's finest as a breather tank.
Spun the RARB L brackets round to...
Cup arms, my cup does it but it only rubs away the bulge of arch liner over the bumper bracket. I have left it to make its own wheel shape hole instead of trying to cut a suitable hole. Rubbing the bumper bracket itself makes a completely different metallic noise.
Arcing of the leads usually goes white for reference. While the injectors are out still connected to the rail, crank the car and check for a good spray pattern (don't spray it at a hot engine ;))
Get it done, not sure how easy it is compared to the lift on this which is quite easy as all the pipes, linkages etc are long enough thankfully.
I think the way to do it is load the trailer, put up the jockey wheel and centralise the car untill the trailer sits horizontal then get your tow...
