Thanks mate we could always swop engines lol
Anglesey is good but don't think I would do it again unles the car was trailered as it is a long way.
I am always taking coolant with me from now on, just hope I never need it.
Not much done to the car just maintenance.
After replacing all the coolant hoses to silicone ones a few months ago I used some nice looking mikalor type clamps but after going to Anglesey in May for the Renault Sport track day I soon learnt it was a mistake.
I went out about 4 times in the...
I used to use dunlops but went to 888's because they were quite a bit cheaper but now all the prices are going up I may just go back to Dunlop as it will only work out about £40 more expensive.
I wanted to try the AR1 should have brought some when they were under £300.
At home I have 3 of these Cocraft bottom boxes and 2 top boxes and for the money they are great, gas ram lid ball bearing draws really good quality, they normally have a code for 10% off and a couple of times a year it's buy the bottom box get the top free with 10% off...
With the cage you don't really see them.
It is not really noticeable and much better than the standard color that stood out like a sore thumb, the flocked dash and A pillars etc never photograph the right color, and the roof it depends on which way it is brushed/ wiped as one way looks darker...
Thanks
I do like the painted roof but don't know if I could live with the condensation dripping on me, at least it is a easy option now if I want to switch to it.
A couple more updates over the bank holiday I got a quote for powder coating the cage orange and when they said £40 I was back home in half hour taking the cage out and dropping it off to them.
While the cage was being done I took the roof lining out and then started removing all the bonding...
You don't have much luck with trackdays do you Martin but at least you caught it early, looking at some of the photos it could have been a lot worse.
Just curious did the AA or RAC collect your car or did you trailer it there?
Like the windows but you will be needing a roof scoop now
It is Halfords anthracite wheel paint same as what I used on the inside just lacquered on the inlets.

Yes the brakes are sorted now, I boiled the brake fluid at Oulton in November and did not bleed it out when I got back because it was being parked up for winter so assume there was some trapped air somewhere in the system, that was with superblue so going to try GULF RF1000 or...
I have not done a lot to the car recently but over the last month or so I have been getting it ready for summer.
I had a PMS AC delete kit for about 2 years stuck on the shelf so I decided it was time to get it on the car and while I was at it fit the aluminium radiator that I have had for about...

Got to tax mine and shocked at how much it is it only gets used half a dozen times a year, just had my reminder through for the Focus RS and that is only £210
Tried a vacuum bleed this morning and that did not work so went and brought a ezebleed kit (the valve fitting is s**t kept leaking so chopped it off and connected to my compressor set at about 18psi) pumped about 1l through and got a reasonable pedal but when the engine is running the braking is...
I just tried again with the vacuum bleeder and still no luck, I am going to go and see a Renault specialist that is about 5 mins from me and see what he says and he may be able to come out and activate the ABS with clip if not I will be phoning the AA.
I can't activate it by driving as the...
No good I just tried again and no fluid is coming out when the pedal is pressed, it drips when the brake line is disconnected from the caliper but nothing when opening the nipple and pressing the brake, I can not drive the car as I have NO brakes at all.
