Tried that a few times but not getting the piston to move at all as it is still about 5mm from the pads so should move easy, I may try the old caliper again just in case but I know the one on is a good one with good seals.
I decided to paint my calipers again so removed it last night (just the front right) and put on a spare caliper but did not notice there was no nipple in it.
Today when I went to put it back on there was fluid on the floor but still fluid in the reservoir so just refitted the caliper as I have...
We don't have manual machines now but really miss a Bridgeport such a useful bit of kit.
Went to the Mach show at the NEC last year really interesting.
I remember years ago a chap at work was drilling a hole about 40mm in a block about 400x400x200 with side clamps the drill picked up and when it retracted it pulled the job up with it and launched it when the drill snapped, it was lucky the doors were shut.
When you watch videos like this I...
Normal 95 fuel can't be that bad as 90% of the petrol cars use it and they don't all blow up do they.
I always use Tesco 99 on my Focus RS and in the Clio as I have a Tesco near me and it is a lot cheaper than Shell but just use 95 in my bike, my old Clio 182 back in 2004 always ran better on...
Just do something similar to me stripped everything out of the back but left the carpet in the front just to keep it reasonable on the way to the track.
@JP83 Similar way I marked mine where to drill but I was not as brutal 😂
Just use some M3 or M4 (can't remember what size I used) stainless button head bolts and nyloc nuts instead of the self tapper, they are a bit fiddly to get the nuts on though.
Ordered some silicone coolant hoses but not sure what clamps to get either jubilee clips or is it better to get some mikalor clamps or somthing similar?
It is a track car I have done more miles on track than the road, the only road miles are to the track for a track day (have to drive it as I don't have a trailer or car that can tow) and as I say they are fine, agree not as good as AST's but AST's will not be as good as Reiger 3 way adjustable...
Nothing wrong with mine only driven on the road to and from track, and they seem much better than some other cars I have been in with coilovers and about £1500 cheaper than AST's.
All depends on what you want and if you are loaded, if you are trying to get the last 1 second out of the car fine...
Get a cage and just replace the shocks and get some cooksport spings, that is what I use and they are fantastic for the money people have even commented on how good they are when I have taken them out and they are running AST's.
My exhaust is 2.5 inch so I just got a vernier caliper and marked the cat at 2.5 inch and cut the joint off and then trimmed it to fit some 2.5 tube.
Hope that makes sense.
I did mine a few years ago as the joint kept leaking and sagging I would not pay to have it done unless you are having problems but if you can do it yourself it is worth it.
I normally mount mine on the cage but tried it attached to the door with a sticky mount and tethered to he mirror, you will need a external mic I fed my mic into the engine bay.
I have the Bimarco Futura and find them comfy and supportive and they are cheap enough but looking on GSM they do a seat that is not FIA approved but looks identical for under £150 http://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/auto-style-type-bs7-bucket-seat/prod_1006.html
I was tempted to get one of these for...
If you are towed outside the gate you could always say you have been on track and drove to get petrol and the car broke down, how could they prove that the car was not driven to the gate and stopped.
Sorry it took a while
I have full dash, a pillars, door handles, handbrake surround, steering cowl, rear view mirror all flocked.
It does look good and stops the glare but if it was a daily I probably would not do it as it attracts dust but as mine is a track car it's fine, I would do it again.
I have the Bimarco Futuras and a 38" waist and I fit fine, for the price you can't go wrong.
These are the ones I have brought them from GSM and can't fault the service, one had a small hole when I got it and they arranged for a new one to be sent and collection of the faulty one quickly...
Good video, hope there is not too much damage.
Love watching your fibreglass doors flapping open at the top bet you get soaked when it is pissing down.
