What theme is that supposed to be? It's not really street photography - so are you obsessed with the eiffel tower?
Of course! No limits on camera and to be honest I've seen stuff off an iPhone that's better than "pros with dslrs" lol
Driving around Lincoln I'm so sick of people doing 10mph while you watch the rest of the traffic driving off into the distance, and people NEVER use indicators
I have no idea how modded car owners get such a bad rep - it's the "normal" people who are utter tossers
Driving to work today and I'm...
On a track car that sees weekend plays out what would people have out of an oreca group N and a Yozza race system
Really needs to be under 95db for track days. Any vids of Yozzas?
I'm going down to this with a few mates from another forum. I won't be running though as the car still isn't mapped properly and I don't want to jinx it
It's up behind the glovebox - I think you just pull the top part of the carpet back
In the engine bay - unhook the power steering bottle and lean it forwards - then you have to get your hand behind the sound deadening and head right towards the wheel arch - you'll feel where the bonnet release...
I wouldn't drill another hole - the grommet where the bonnet release is a big rubber gromet with a small hole in it for the cable.
Just push a screw driver through it to make a new hole and the cable fits through fine
Very necessary - the wiring melts under the heat without it
You can fit it just by undoing all the manifold bolts till they are nearly off - slide the manifold back and then slide the heatshield in from underneath on the drivers side
Ok guys - thanks
I would but it needs a cambelt and dephaser anyway - so might as well chuck some in. I can always swap them to another engine if it does die
Sorry guys - I got the wrong cam code - it's 421's I'm fitting
I'm not doing anything with pistons or valves on this engine as it's nearing 120k
Planning on getting another engine next winter and building that up as a replacement
I'm looking at buying some catcam 422's next month and then getting my car mapped
It's already got ITB's, Omex 600, 182 manifold etc.. etc..
I've heard the conrod bolts are a weak point and my engine is getting on a bit so I thought for £45 I might chuck some ARP bolts in to be on the safe side...
Aye just read the instructions and it says PTFE tape LOL
The threads don't bottom out - they stick out quite a bit so I guess that's my issue
519 - I know what you're saying but Fred has used them loads of times without issue so if I can get it to work I will do - It's just a bit neater...
That's my mind made up - I'm gonna swap my K-Tec stealth for the oreca system - it's actually quiter than my stealth according to the db readings K-Tec have done
96db where my stealth is doing 101db. I hate the stealth!!
I think I may have made a massive N00B mistake!!
Reading a guide on fitting these it says to use teflon tape on the threads of the sensors and on the blanking plug in the spare hole
I didn't use any as none came with the kit - could it be that the oil is leaking out past the threads??? :(
Have to apologise again for crappy iPhone photos - I've been meaning to do a proper update with the dslr (I don't think I've even put up a photo of the seats yet) but weather is crap all the time
Anyhoooo - had an utterly w**k day at work on Thursday so came home at lunch and spent an hour...
Megaupload, wupload, uploadto, all those other stupid websites that are just for sharing files will all get shut down - they were a crap idea and virtually undefendable
So then everyone will go back to newsgroups lol
I download everything on a 256bit secure newsgroup connection - even your ISP...
Those heat exchangers are used on 106 gti's too - they're awesome
They aren't as good at cooling as an oil cooler - but most people don't really need an oil cooler. These will do the job 99% of the time - but also they help heat the oil up quicker due to running hot water through them -...
