I fitted an oil sandwich plate (r-tech one I think off ebay) with my oil temp/pressure sensors in it
It came with a rubber gasket that fits between the block and the sandwich plate - but when its warm it's leaking quite a bit of oil on my driveway :banghead:
I'm taking the ITB's off this week...
Nice pics those mate - time for the mods to make you officially the regional leader, then we can have our own area forum and get some more meets running :D
This thread is seriously lacking in photos :(
I've moved my LC-1 wideband controller to under the car and put the wideband in the 2nd hole in the exhaust
I've fitted a ph1 clio 1.8 16v narrowband lambda (at omex's recommendation) to the first hole - fit brilliantly, the connector on the omex...
Posting facts in black and white IS what this forum needs. It's nice to log on, read the forum and learn something - which in this thread I have
Posting them while defending a product and people he is clearly associated with - and in a very condescending and unnecessarily aggressive tone though...
Yes... I've got to fit my narrowband lambda this morning and do a few tweaks - it's currently -1c OUCH
I'm gonna leave starting it till about 11 I hope and see if it warms up - might be a little bit late but I'll be there :)
They are a PAIN in the ass to fit - they earth through the steering wheel
But the times I tried to get that to work on the clio it did actually result in fire LOL
You can get normal horn pushes off the net that have 2 connections - just measure the hole in your steering wheel and buy another -...
No. Just no. Seriously?
This is a bog standard 172 cup - freshly mapped on Jenveys with an Omex
It makes 202bhp and 169lb/ft
I agree the torque spread isn't as nice - it's all top end - which as you say is ideal on track but not great for a daily drive
But you're not getting anywhere near...
LOOK I really can't be bothered to get into this
If one man want's to argue that a jenvey inlet manifold bolted to a carbon airbox with a throttle body stuck a foot away from the head - is EXACTLY the same as a proper ITB setup with the throttles positioned an inch and a half from the head...
Wow - from all the years of being on forums, and all the people I've met - you really are the most obnoxious c.unt ever. I'm glad you aren't trying to sell your services on here because although you have an undoubtedly large knowledge of engines and tuning I wouldn't give you a single penny...
Why bother? I like how the car drives - the torque curve is healthy and at the renaultsport track days it's quicker than 90% of other clios out there
That's me happy ;)
Frankly the first f**king sensible thing that's been posted on here
I haven't posted my rolling road results before the ITB's and I won't post my rolling road results after the ITB's - cos the only thing torque and bhp figures are good for is pub-bragging
If the car feels better and gets you...
Yeah I know it's big enough - that's why there are some people with cams and internals doing over 200bhp with standard throttle body - I was just saying the comparison of an RS2 is basically the same as ITB's with an airbox is not entirely true - ITB's have far more potential
As you say the...
That's not quite true though is it?
With the bodies you get 4 x 48mm butterflies - and the carbon intake box has a 100mm air feed
With the RS2 you get the stock throttle body size which if I remember correctly is about 65-67mm ?
I've heard so many stories about the RS2 now that are always either "it sounds awesome and pulls well" or "I sold it because I lost power"
I think they're designed very well - but what I can't get my head around is that you're still using the stock throttle body - that's always going to be the...
There always has been - that's why it's always depended on going to a "friendly" MOT station to get some cars through
A lot of it is left up to the discretion of the MOTer. I had my old 106 fail because it had no seatbelts, harnesses and fixed buckets - but next bloke I sent it to said that was...
I've not fitted sliding rails for the track season - However I've just found out it's an MOT failure now if the drivers seat doesn't slide forwards and backwards.... So angry my piss is boiling :(
