Just put a switch into the amp remote wire so you can turn it off when you don't have the engine running, that is what I did years ago when I had subs installed and it worked fine.

If you are not going to track it just go for some good road tyres Michelin PS3 or similar, I run them on my Meg 250 and they provide more than enough grip, also with winter coming up it is only going to get wetter so you will probably be going slower with Federals or Nankangs on.

I have a set that I use for road and very wet track, they are good for the money but nothing like my Dunlop Direzza in the dry.
