Sounds like there's something missing. I would buy another set as their cheap 2nd hand or not sure if you can get parts from Renault seperately to rebuild but www.biggred.co.uk should be able to sort you out.
The h/brake cable arm on the calliper acts as a cam pushing on that threaded bit you see inside where you have removed the piston. The brake pedal works hydraulically and releases when you come off it and the handbrake is fully mechanical and is held on by the ratchet assembly in the car. The...
That explains the high pitch squealing then.
Thought your alternator might have brought the end of play before a lap. Another case of turbo unreliability (jokes btw)
I was the same until 2 years ago, no time for cameras.
I'll have 2 lol. That's crazy cheap though, it must be original ford...
It looks a quick car but is wishy washy in the corners, slack as a lady of the nights chuff at the rear which I like .
I was just wondering if they were running "r" tyres back then.
I can believe that, marshals mk2 can lap in high 58's, now compare that to Renshaws evo and it gives you an idea around KH.
Its nice but it's missing the mexico decals ;)
The noise is what there all about, reminds me of a v-tec how they rev on but the difference is they don't sound like a fart...
No you don't buy them to be competitive, you buy one cause you want to. There's a guy at KH that runs his reportedly £120k BDA in smrc classics and its the business, always in battles with Morgan aero 8's of all cars and he gives it punishment, some thing to see...
Should be easily achievable when you consider the minis are doing 63's with 130 ponies. Did you get a rough lap time in your current spec 230bhp????? car?
I know a 6r4 is a group B car but there was de tuned versions made after they were banned so they could continue to rally and that is why you still see a lot of 6r4's in comparison to "proper" group B cars (quatro's/stratos/integrale's/rs200) and that reflects in the price for them today...
Off course, my cars there were priced accordingly against each other, going into proper group B car £'s then it would have to be a short wheelbase quatro or delta integrale, the ford would be a close 3rd in turbos.
Even at that money, I'd probably just buy two mk2 escorts, one with millingon...
Exactly my thoughts, I have my turbo for road and n/a for track. I'm old skool for my young years where I would rather have a BDA mk2 or a 6r4 before I would have a group N or A evopreza.
Sometime this year my boy, sub 60 second's is where you'll have to be....hopefully :quiet:
You won't get much stronger wheels than 2118's, they were originally gravel wheels.
As said, you won't get a much better all round wheel for lightness/strength/cost than pro race 1.2's
Yup, not something you want to feck about with if you don't know what your doing, could be the end of your passengers 3rd leg or your life.

That is an awesome video for someone trying to learn the principle, our lecturers spent days explaining differentials when that video shows all you need to know in 5 minutes and isn't some rubbish 3D power point presentation.
Every person I know has removed paddle clutches from their dailys if they can as they make you hate your car after a while, manoeuvring in tight car parks can be shady to, on...off.
Every little helps, good to get done if you have plans for your car, getting your original lightened is a...
flol, your tyres were almost lasting longer.
He was still right with his original quote, 320whp and no "engine" issues lol.
What series are you in that is allowing engine tuning and g/box mods in a GT car?
I know of someone with a 400bhp civic EK turbo up our way and that is amazingly good at putting power down as you have said as it has boost per gear and a good diff, BUT it has to be cared for far too much and money involved is crazy compared to N/A cars that are matching lap times.
Thats my...
How does a 600bhp Harvey Gibb built and tuned YB suit lol ;)
Like I say I'm biased as 2 of my mates have seen the error of their ways by racing high output turbo cars and switched to N/A and never looked back, one because their wallet feel's better about it, 2 it take less to prep the car and...
Say 250bhp for a well tuned N/A engine and a 320bhp for a well tuned turbo engine both working well within their means as far as pistons, rods and top ends. I would put a months wages on the turbo being the first to require a major component. Both being race cars for argument sake.
That power is very easily made with that engine as its an Audi tfsi iirc so handles it quite easily, push the envelope and there is more to go wrong with a turbo car... Put it that way.
Agreed.
Is he not just referring to the preload and ramp angles. It would be hard to detect if fitted in a test other than if you drove it under hard acceleration if you got it setup less aggressive.
