Just for reference, an example of a Clio been driven well, damp/freezing cold curcuit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtIl6G9cPSw
This would pass and did pass 90% on circuit on that day, only has 15" 888's and b14 suspension. Fuelling issues at the end.
Yeah my personal idea of fun on a track is pushing that certain car, not chasing lap times but knowing the car can't do much more. I can go for a Sunday drive on the road. Sounds di**ish to say it but there are loads of rubbish video's on here. A recent good one on here was a guy at Cadwell with...
Lol, splitting hairs ain't it. For Aydon, watch track day videos with a half decent driver (not many on CS IMO) and you'll see clio's hold there own on track.
Top gear is no real comparison I'm afraid mate, conditions play a big part on that track as its used for aeroplanes that leave behind jet fuel on the runway which is like oil. All these cars tested are on standard rubber, your examples of evo v 182 isn't a good one either. Evo will have road...
You can get any half decent engineering firm to bore them out but straightening buckles is a fair job, you would have to show a company the wheel so they could say if its possible.
Any kinks in the wheel like I think I can see in the pic and you have no chance.
Lol I just re read my post I wrote. I said toe out, brain fart lol
FWD cars always pull wheels outwards at the front so toe in for race/track car and parallel for road going.
Your speaking about the outside of the shaft that goes into hub right? All 1*2's are 23 spline outer, if its not its wrong.
Sounds like a remake shaft or something. If the nut sits nice against the hub nice, its the right length and splines are right, fire it on.
I would think the 48mm straight or 48 to 45mm will suit a racecar better, no?
I have always been told that a good individual set of bodies with good manifold will out perform most DTH as they are usually made for cars with packaging issues. I have no technical reason to back this up although...
I have no problem with the rest of the kit, it looks well put together and simple to fit for anyone with there install video. Just my preference really, individuals is what you will see on 90% of well built race cars and if im not wrong then Jenvey ITB's have a larger diameter than the DTH kit...
That's the ones, I couldn't find a proper pic of them with adjustable rears. Im sure I could get them built around my current casing's for a bit cheaper as that's essentially what all there motorsport kits are built around. The guy at Bilstein advised me to get in contact with you as you had the...
As said take your time and it's easy, not as hard as is made out on this forum. That Tool kit you listed is not for an f4r
This looks like a good kit, you will need this to remove the cam pulleys...
I was referring to a guy called Seiz over on clio rs concept when I was saying frog, nice guy but hard to speak to through google translate. I bought solid plastic\ptfe bushes from him, nice to know there available from a main source though.
I have a Yanoo complete extended gearstick with...
Just going by previous story's, I would give him a chance as he was perfect the times I called.
Looking for options to upgrade to if I find the need for adjustable damping, everything has to be custom or swap out inserts etc and it gets expensive. Ohlins front inserts and AST rear coilover is...
Im not saying it isn't a Jenvey kit but DTH kits aren't as good for out and out results as Individual kits. When I say inferior im not saying its a bad kit what so ever, it does what it says on the tin, there are better packages out there.
It can't be any worse than the Renault part, I have...
Ill agree that French wiring is poor as a whole and the chances increase of water ingress but as you say this is not a week in week out thing. Once a year if needed and best done in summer months. Its no different to going through the odd deep puddle that has caught you out.
I could have done it for just over 2k with £1400 of that being Jenvey ITB's, carbon airbox and filter, solid fuel rail, 90mm trumpets, polo rad, omex 600 and basic splice in loom (s**t). Cat cams 421 at £500
I decided to upgrade on some things like the loom at £600 which included full race spec...
Agreed there "IS" potential to go wrong like most thing's.
Just wash the engine itself with ht leads removed and paper towel in the holes, gearbox, chassis legs, that's 90% washed, steer clear of fuse box/ecu and any large collections of conduit. Wash with the nozzle 5-10cm away. Wrap the...
You obviously don't know steam cleaners and truck's chip. Modern trucks have more delicate wiring/sensors/ecu's than any Clio, stay away from key components and know where to wash from a distance. Steam cleaner is a industrial high pressure water with preheated water so by no means less pressure...
Aren't 1's one way adjustable and 2's 2 way?
Could you do ast 2 inserts for mk2 racer front cases or custom cases to allow ast 2's to fit to cup racer hubs? (Same cases fitted to yor mk3 but with clamping tabs for the hub) Curtis said it was possible to do cases but he was full of false...
Just stay away from electrics, ain't hard. How do you think trucks, cars etc get steam cleaned. More fool you if you think it's never done without problem's
