They're fine on the road
Some people say theres a bit more noise (road bangs) through the suspension when you hit bumps but I don't notice it
Saying that I've got no interior and a 99db exhaust so I probably wouldn't notice it lol
Screws shouldn't stick out - they didn't with mine
Is yours a unibody?
When I put 8gb in mine it was insane - every app opens in under a second
Also if you ever do any video/photo editing - 8gb is a life saver
Ditto - was one of the first to order the full kit and it's amazing. Transformed the B14 coilovers I had and the turn in of the car
Also the feedback through the wheel is better
Did a full day at brands hatch last month with the setup and it was absolutely spot on!
Sigma are such a huge hit or miss
There QA process is appauling - most of the lenses under/over focus
I found out you can send them off for calibration and they come back a month later pin sharp - but it annoys me they don't do that to start with :(
50mm 1.8 - move closer and further away as required ;)
Honestly after you've used a canon prime lens you would take a sigma/tamron and smash it to pieces
You don't need IS (it won't help) you need a tripod if you're using a zoom lens
Done some video with a 50mm and it's fine. Awesome with a 28mm
Anything at a distance really needs to be tripodded
From what I've read - if your doing stuff like the DTM then DEFINITELY you'll love the 7D AF system
I wouldn't keep a 50D as a second body - it's too bloody heavy and a very similar camera to the 7D
You could sell it and get like a 450D or something lighter as a backup body
As for the argument...
I had the 50D - and now have the 7D
The AF system on it is fantastic - I did BTCC with it this year and left it pretty much in servo AF and auto select points - every single photo was in focus
It's mind blowingly good
The video is brilliant - and the 60fps slow motion video is awesome. I don't...
Dunno - that's not far from my house
If I was out in the clio it would have been doing a stupid speed and being driven like a t**t. If it was - it was probably me lol
Do you have any idea how annoying it is reading your posts?
The OP asked how much cup racers weigh AND what the lightest car was on here. The replies stated how much cup racerss weigh and a few other people posted the weight of their cars
YOU then started ranting about how they were dreaming...
Crikey that's impressive with the cage too
I have no idea how much I removed from mine - I know i must be 80-120kg of crap came out
Like I say though the 2118's weigh a ton :(
That's probably about right
The 172 cup is 1021kg - I've removed about 80kg from mine (and there's nothing left in it except a seat and dashboard) but then the cage add's weight back in - and the wheels aren't light :(
You'd be struggling to get a 172 lower than 950ish
No I know it's not a good situation to be in - but the response I got was "maybe this week or next" and in reality it was over 3 months before you had any more to sell
With that sort of long-term stock outage I would have pulled it from the site. Stock levels on websites (or even just a delivery...
This is exactly the opposite of my experience
I bough a bilstein kit from kamracing on their website - it said in stock
I then got an email saying it wasn't in stock and they'd let me know
As I needed the kit ASAP for a track day I rang them and got a very grumpy "I'm trying to get Bilstein to...
That's fair enough - and what I'd guessed had happened. It's preferable to have a reseller rather than deal with customers direct.
I just think most of the people on here viewed you guys as the evil monster in the whole scenario lol
I don't really want to get involved with this as I've used K-Tec in the past (including sourcing next day a Bilstein kit for me) and they've been fantastic (Sean is one of the best people i've dealt with while building my clio - couldn't have been more helpful) - so I'm not jumping on the K-Tec...
