I'm sure if Henk has half a brain cell he will have used a bespoke file structure for the maps - otherwise there would be no reason to buy the RS Tuner
I've never slated the hardware - it's fantastic.
The map is also great and I still run it today
I'm just sick of this argument - answering 100's of emails a day must be frustrating but if he created a SINGLE STICKY thread that had a table with engine code on the left and then software and cal...
IT'S NOT MARKETING
Marketing would be promoting the RS Tuner as a device - which he doesn't do and obviously doesn't need to
But buying the device is only part of the solution - you then need to know what software to run on your engine - that's after-sales support
You've bought the hardware...
I think the only thing more annoying than having to answer people on here is buying an rstuner - asking repeatedly what files to download and being ignored. Then buying the wrong files (at 48euros each) and then having Henk snap at you for asking a question - then having to pay another 48euros...
Yeah don't even bother
Tried burning them out - was taking ages
Went to a garage - gave the guy £10 and he let me use their hydraulic press.
Came out in about 8 seconds flat
Fitting the metal bits of the poly bushes is a nightmare too and then they need welding
LOL 2 nights of painting means you can still see green in places and theres runs on it - but I need to go get it all welded in now
Coming back out after Brands Hatch to get powder coated
It's a perfect fit - I love it
Now I just need Dan's seats and I'll be a seriously happy bunny haha
Yeah if he's gonna pull all the maps (which actually means not supporting 172/182 owners AT ALL despite promises) I suggest we put them all up on a free download link
But might wanna wait until he responds first lol
Marketing isnt the issue - post-sale support is
What's the point in selling a remapping tool if people can't work out what maps to use. And then he winges when people install the wrong ones and email him LOL
What's the difference between 5411 and 5E11 - no explanation at all on the site
Just not a cup ;)
The air con, cruise control etc.. of the 172 pisses all over the poverty spec 106's
But to be honest the 172cup is about as basic and rattly as my old GTi lol
I hate you si - from the very bottom of my boxer shorts
;)
Nope - Every month there's a 106 vs clio thread. A few people know the differences and post logically. Then a load of people post "clio would waste a standard 106"
It's utter toss - even statistically. In a straight line a clio has an...
So everyone else has 8 years owners experience, 5 years of running a technical forum based purely on 106's, has organised 2 show's specifically for 106's, been to over 20 track and quarter mile days specifically for 106's? And on top of that has stripped to the nuts and bolts 3 seperate 106's...
I haven't had mine done yet - but most say that
1.5-2degrees neg camber on the front (2 degrees gets a bit fun on normal roads though lol) and 1 degree of toe out for a bit better turn in
That's what I'm gonna get mine set to for brands hatch and see how I get on
I just disagree I'm afraid
Standard for standard the 106 has better handling and the clio has more power. It's whatever you make of them to be honest
The clio has boat loads more potential though and once you sort out the shite suspension setup as standard - awesome awesome car.
I wouldn't go...
Yes - definitely
The biggest thing I noticed was if you slow for a corner in the 106 it takes a while to get the power back coming out
The clio out of a corner is a lot quicker - the torque of the 2litre really helps
I own 106owners.co.uk and drive a Clio 172
I had a 106 for 8+ years
I'd say...
Oh also I have NO IDEA the difference between 5E11 and 5411 - both are listed for clio 2 - both are for "upgrades from 7300" - no descriptions on the site whatsoever
Have fun!
Hahahahahaha I see nothings changed
I thought you weren't going to trade on here anymore?
If you're going to keep trying to sell your maps you could at least be polite when people don't know which one to use - and then biting the heads off previous customers.. pure class - seriously!
I...
Sorry mate - I did skim through the thread looking at the usual r****d answers lol
Have you ever driven a 106? Below 5k you might as well get out and walk lol
Thread full of usual s**t - except for Kam's answer
Standard for standard a clio is quicker in a straight line - 106 loads better on handling
The 106 has better steering feedback and is a bit more "nimble" but build quality is poor and nearly all of them are starting to suffer from rot now...
I knew it would hit you eventually - stripping cars is so gutting
When they came to take my old 106 I couldn't even watch :(
Sad times yes - but it's working out ok for me as a vulture for parts ;)
At least bits of your car and Bombers will live on in my little track **** haha
Not. A. Chance. In. Hell
And the minute you drive at night you're going to die
They are reflective for a reason - it amplifies the light from the bulb and directs it downwards at the road.
Now you've sprayed it all black you'll lose well over half off the light and it will have no direction so...
