Mine was great, I just find road rallies too rough nowadays.
I've still got all my stuff to bolt back on if I decide to play down the lanes.
Standard cup suspension was good enough, just used yellowstuff pads, big sumpguard and I've got a separate bumper with the spotlights on.
15" wheels and...
I think we should all run budgets just for fun
I managed to get 4 ad08 and used them in September so I've still got them stored up for next year but I do need to get a couple of other tyres to perhaps use on the back to save the AD08 for the front.
I drove the stage last week and though it was going to be dull, but the planning was shocking!
You probably drove up the closed road from by the station, past the pretty gates were the cars came out, along the lane, turn left and drove up along the main drive /stage start up to the rallyfest...
I've been considering one, there is a high milage 05 plate not far from me, and my Subaru mate tells me they are damn good.
It's just the fuel economy I'm a bit dubious of but an amazing spec car for the money.
Never really noticed the feel difference myself on my other cars, havnt got them on the Clio.
They look a bit neater and won't split like the original ones will do eventually.
What's those results mean is that people will have to move out of your way at oulton park! Lol
would have liked to have brought the cup down to see how many horses it has lost in its 171k miles but wife is away and I can't put the kids in it with the bucket seats.
I've got both a 1.9 gti and Clio cup on my drive and as much as I love the 205's I would go for the Clio every time.
I could build a good spec track 205 with cage, diff, mods etc cheaper than building a caged, diffed Clio though.
It's my own fault for assuming the regs were the same when I entered loton as I used 1a tyres when I could have used the 1b set of tyres I had at home
I know for next year.
I thought that road going classes were only allowed to use tyres from msa list 1a and the rsr's and 888's are 1b tyres?
Or is it different for hillclimbs than sprints as all the road going sprint classes use 1a tyres yet at loton the lotus in the road going classes were using 1b tyres.
The Honda drivers told me it was in the pipeline, and I had a phonecall from another lad that spoke to the Honda lads at Anglesey and they said it was happening. This is with the longton and district club but I do think it's an msa introduction.
I don't think it should be a sportscar class as...
I got close!!!
I'm not sure if it's a national change yet but it looks like the S2000's are being moved into a new sportscaster class to try and make it a bit fairer for the standard up to 2000cc class. Their new class will be SC.
Lucky buggers!!
But that looks like Elfyn Evans that took you out in the R2, he is Gwyndaf Evans son, and will hopefully be getting a full works wrc drive soon.
I've got konis on my cup with sport line springs. Fully hard they are brilliant on track but makes it a bit twitchy on the road. Softened up a bit and they are great on the road too.
I've been looking around for a wagon so I can put my bike in the back. I've had non turbo legacys before so this time maybe only a sport but I would really like to tick the wrx box and there is not much difference in price, only the difference in fuel economy. A big difference in grin factor I'm...
