Hi and welcome :)
I would suggest paying the modest £12 fee to become a registered member - will get you access to the marketplace and all the traders and businesses associated with us - well worth the outlay, and will get you a lot of info on the bits you need :)
Check the tyres - these little cars have a habit of bubbling the rear tyres - jack it up and spin the wheels and look at the inner edges on the back tyres - I've had it on quite a few where you see the tyre looks like a 50p lol and it gives the impression of a wheel bearing going as it makes the...
Depends on how hard you are on your brakes mate, to begin with I'd be replacing the front discs with a set of Brembo hc (g172 on here sells them cheap) with a set of decent pads (bedded in properly) with some fresh fluid in and see how that goes - you can go to more aggressive pads like some...
More than you think - a friend of mi e has a triumph herald convertible tucked up in his parents garage - parked it there about 17 years ago and it's still there lol.
Tempted to buy it tbh

Cams are expensive mate. These engines are very specific on cam timing, and it has to be done using the correct cam locking tools in the correct procedure - if this is not done, the timing will be out and you will be down 25bhp odd - I bet at least half of all 172/182's out there have incorrect...
as pretty much everyone has said, getting power out of these engines is not too easy (bear in mind they are based on the 138bhp unit out of the Espace/Laguna, so they are already 'tuned' as it were) but what does make a difference is a remap - the standard cars have the '5k kick' - decent maps...
looks, errm, lovely Dan!
I'd be stripping the seats and carpets out to clean that s**t
Oh and if you ever want a new decent industrial jetwash, I sell them at work

butterfly worn, moving side to side slightly and sticking on the walls of the body - I must have seen a hundred like it.
So much I made a guide on how to make them as good as possible (involves lubricating them - a lot of work involved) in fact I used to supply a service of cleaning them to...
