Looking mint as always. Not seen many pics of it lately.

    Clio's at Snowdon

Gutted I couldn't make this. Looks like you had fun though. How epic where the roads? Just to make me feel even worse about missing it lol

    ph1 172 Vs ph2 172/182

Ph1 has none of them Jamie.

    Actual 182 performance figures?

Roy's right, 2nd gear onwards is where it really matters. Once they're spinning over 5K rpm they pull well. Below that they don't feel very quick or torquey. I've been told mine pulls well low down compared to others too, albeit probably not much difference, but it still doesn't feel very...

What car would you like to see made?

Clio 200R. Put the engine out of the Meg R26 or even Meg 250 in, along with an LSD. Would be the best Clio ever. If they said they would ever do that i'd start saving now.

How much have you spent on your clio?

Service + belts + engine mounts = £600 Exhaust inc fitting = £340 Eibach Sportlines = £70 Wipers, silvervisions and new nuber plates = £50 Other small things = £50 Insurance = £1350 Tax = £190 Oh and the car was £2400 Total = £5050 Oh and it needs brakes all around, a interim serivce and a...

    Your speedo acceleration vids

Thats rapid. Like 10 seconds to 100. I need a SC in my life.

    Goodbye 200. Hello r26

Whens it going stage 2 then ;) I'd rather have a R26 than a 197/200 any day tbh.

    insurance companies???

    Flux where good for me.

    how much for genuine ecu

Sounds like she's been had. There are loads of 1.2 16vs at breakers yards etc she could have got an ecu off or ebay as you said. Hence why I'd never let my mum or gf (if she had a car) go to a garage alone.

    insurance

I'd rather walk than pay £2700 for a Twingo 133. They're not even fast, good cars but hardly worthy of a £2700 insurance premium. It annoys me paying £1300 for my 172 at 19.

Now its settled down... some more recent ones!

I've found my sportlines fine. They're really not that low.

My 1.5dci was sold as 80hp but concerned it's only 65

I'd be really pissed off tbh. Great little cars all the same though. Same block basically, just get a front mount intercooler, uprated injectors, fuel pump & turbo (pump only needed with dci 100 turbo iirc) , and map then you will be pushing over 100bhp.

    182 Vs BMW

Nice cars. BMW's spot on. lol @ schoolgirl gf.

    Apex 40mm Springs....Worth Buying??

I'd rather have KTR Coilies tbh. Re the OP: I can't comment on apex to drive. They look good though. I have Eibach Sportlines on my 172 and I have got to say i'm extremely impressed with them. Offer a subtle but noticable drop too.

    Mazs Cup

I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole still. He has made a catalog of errors with the car tbh.

    New Car

I'm sure you'll enjoy the 197 mate. Evo looks mint to be fair.

    ITB'd 182 B-Road Video

Sound advice Mark. You pay VED for both sides of the road so if its safe, use it. Thats advice i've got off some well trained drivers.

    ITB'd 182 B-Road Video

Biggest load of flannel i've heard on this site for ages. He's actually taking good lines imo. Aslong as there is visibility then there is nothing wrong with offsiding atall. It makes for far smoother, faster and if done correctly safe progress. Awesome video mate. Sounds even better in...

Quick question on fuel consumption of phase 1's

My trip computer will read 44-45mpg if you cruise at 70mph on the motorway. I've done this several times. Around town looking at 33-36mpg depending on traffic/length of journeys etc. On a decent run including having a bit of fun arund 38mpg is perfectly achievable.

How good does the V6 look.....

Vee's possibly the best looking hatchback ever created imo.

    172 Cup Project. 56k beware

    Looks really nice mate.

One For The 172 Exclusive Owners

Looks so much better with the cups rather than the BBS's.

Weird Humming Nosie from Back of Car

Will be wheel bearings as above. On the RS's the bearings are included in the rear disks iirc. Not sure with the drums on 1.2's.

    Astra Coupe + Clio

Love your Clio Mike. Not a fan of the astra though. Those wheels make it look like a calibra imo.

    Had a busy day today

Maybe also because it was being driven at 1000mph everywhere too chris ;) I know what you mean though, bucket seats and no interior do attract attention.

    The new motor

Its a good idea to keep the tyres until you get the coilies anyway incase they arnt set up 100% right and you wreck a set of tyres. Looks a really nice example though mate. Really like it. You wern't in Lancaster in it the other day where you? Sunday night. I saw one just like yours on a...

    Ladybower Meet

I thought this was on Saturday. Dammit, I would have been up for this. The cat and fiddle in the wet/ice doesn't look fun when your running TR1's though. Ditchfinders. Looks an awesome meet though.
