Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
So true ;)
Got it back out the garage for a couple of hours, not to work on it, but to tidy the garage and start taking bits off my other engine.
My garage at the moment is an utter tip, but after an hour it looked like this (And yes, this was...
As said it works of guestimating.
lets ay it shows you have 200 miles in your tank left, if you go for a thrash for 20 miles, it may then read you have 100 miles in the tank left - this is because it adjusts to your driving style and if you continue to drive fast the fuel in your tank will...
No ofence taken, just pointing out there are other sections for other model desicussions dude
Um, you asked peoples opinions mate - i have given my opinion? You said will it have been tuned, I said no as speedos over read, and that could have been worsened by the aftermarket wheels he has...
i know mate but you still posted it in clio discussion lol.
so he has overtaken you at 110 - your speedo will be out too - all speedos have a degree of error mate.
quite possible if the wheels have stuck the speedo out a bit and the momentum of downhill can easily add 10+ mph to a car - along the flat it probably wouldn't show more than about 110 ish which is about right for standard once you adjust for speedo error
Clio discussion?
Did you see the speedo with your own eyes?
Either lying about the speed, or the wheels have stuck the speedo reading out.
To tune a 1.2 engine to perform to a genuine 130mph would be a massive cost, so no it won't be tuned, but it wouldn't have been ding 130 anyway...
Might seem like a silly question, but I am looking at 2nd hand ones, and am on a budget so unsure wich to go for.
The basics are for track work, so after something with decent enough quailty, but as it will only be bolted to my rollcage and won't be strapped to me whilst I jump from an astriod...
Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
LOL!
All you need to do is floor it around 3500-4000 rpm for a second or so, back off, then BOOM.
Tis the way I roll, I live my life 1/4 mile at a time iirc
matching the inlets is a common uprade, but that ones a bit expensive imo.
Also modding the throttle body is pointless.
Speak to the specialists on here mate, cheaper than that and equally as good if not better.
Re: A Mini Adventure ...
looks tidy dave!
i just hate the gearshift :(
Oh, if you want a cheap but decent exhaust, the last Cooper S i sold I had off a mate, and the exhaust rusted through so he took a change on an ebay special - paid £270 delivered for a full cat back system.
Was...
Re: Grey With Trinkets, Russ' 29th RS Clio
Small update - it's now MOT'd :D
Had a spare couple of hours so got the old alternator off and fitted the new one, gates belt and was all good once I had managed to find some bolts to bolt it on with lol.
Had to whip the air filter back plate...
Definitely worth it imo if just for piece of mind, on the standard limit it's not too bad unless you literally live at the limiter, but for any car with a raised limiter I would fit them
