Which side of the gearbox is missing a boot. I'm getting my inner drivers side changed tomorrow as there is a split in it, but I got told the passenger side is a bigger job as the gearbox oil needs to be drained.
Was just putting a new clip on the outer drivers side gaiter (old one broke off, greese all over inside wheel). But unfortunatley I noticed the inner gaiter nearest the gearbox had split all the way around.
What sort of price would I be looking at for a garage to change this, think it might be...
It will be getting hit with that very stick soon.
Is it a fairly straight forward DIY job to change the springs, I know in theory it is but when I came to do it on my punto several bolts had siezed and had to be heated to get off. Anyone had similar problems with a 172?
Just wondered what people have paid for the full kit.
Found an ebay shop doing them for 112, and GSF will do the parts seperate for a similar price. A Kit from GSF, for some reason was over 150.
Cheers,
Ed
Whats the difference between Eibach sport lines, and prolines?
I think I prefer the standard wheels, but originals havn't got a mark on them so these can maybe be my winter wheels. 2 contisports on the front and toyo's on the back, all new so might aswell get some use out of them.
Thanks...
I didn't expect to like them as much as i do, still undecided which I prefer these or standard. Just never seen them on a 172 before so thought it was worth a try, and 10 quid for the required spiggot rings.
As for the centre caps i like the old style pins, couldn't really fit a Reno badge on...
Washed, polished and waxed my 172 today and thought I'd try on some Team Dynamic Monzas that I had bought. They're 16 inch.
Wasn't too sure to start with, but they have grown on me now. Make a change anyway.
Think some Eibachs will be purchased in the not so distant future.
Sorry the pics...
