TBH Gaz you drive like a girl, last time we went to Tann Hill you and Will were slowing the group down with your GAY driving, some of us REAL driving enthuisiasts were actualy trying to get a move on but could'nt for you two. LOL
Danny, unfortunatley your in the minority here, Very few people on the forum have driven a genuine 200bhp+ clio so very few understand the fun factor involved of having a humble clio that punches well above its weight.
It really does come down to what floats your boat, I love having a powerfull...
Ben thats really neat that, loving the fact that they hard pipe the induction kit in, instead of the tumble dryer ducting you get with ktecs kit.
How much is it putting out?
Nice to see someone else happy with RStuning's mapping abilities. :)
Wonder how long it'll be though, before the mapping experts turn up and start trying to pick faults with your printouts?
Just in the centre console mate, it's a little out of the way but I'm not really into all these gauges on the A pillar or screwed into the top of the dash.
How comes ktec aren't using the omex 600 feature for boost control?
Mind you if they did I'm not sure if it would be controlable on...
Now then Darren, are we setting the omex to control the boost or are you looking at a seperate unit the same as me?
Mines a gizzmo ms ibc and its sh!t hot
Am certain that I read somewhere that fitting F4R pistons didn't lower the compression down to the usual 8.5:1. Could be the reason for the higher than normal figures as your dynamic compression will be a bit higher.
Either that or the rollers were way out. :)
I agree, however there also the ones who are always back at the place getting work done as there incapable of doing it themselves.
For example I had a mysterious oil leak on my car cam belt side of the engine. Because of the cam covers it looked as though it was the oil sump gasket had gone...
Very good comment mate, and with that in mind you'd be better off given it a miss. Once you put yourself into a position where your at the mercy of a specialist you can kiss your bank balance goodbye LOL
Adrian, I know the reasons why your not into bikes and the previous comment was meant in good jest hence the smiley.
It's difficult to compare a turbo set up to ITB's yes your car may put out 230 bhp but you can gaurantee it will be right at the very top of its rev range and I'm almost...
mate it's just the ktec low boost conversion that I got bored with. So I pulled the engine out rebuilt it with full forged internals threw it back in the car and set it away.
Running 12psi and putting out the above figures. looking at ways to get it upto 16psi and about 300+bhp.
Should be fun
Have either of you actually driven a high powered clio?
Well then thats probably part of the reason you dont understand.
W17GLE if your struggling to get the power down coming out of bends in a stock 172 then you really need to get some decent tyres and/or suspension looked at as I have no...
The problem (as mentioned in my last post) is once you configure your supercharger to run 350+ that's what it will run regardless. At least there is abit of adjustability with a turbo install. TBH I think its great that theres so many tuning options now available for the clios, when I got my...
I agree Tom and for those who are looking to avoid the low compression engine route it's the only way to hit 250bhp.
However for power and torque a suitable set up turbo will be hard to beat.
The fact that with a simple boost controller you can tailor the power to suit is also a bonus.
Correct but only because the manifold and turbine causes back pressure in the cylinder head and as such requires more positive boost pressure for similar flow rates. The down side is obviously the heat generated making it more det likely on stock compression.
At the moment the most powerfull...
If your willing to do a full engine low compression rebuild then a largish turbo will give good bhp/torque figures.
If you dont want to rebuild your engine give RStuning a ring and get there SC kit. Value for money it has to be the best way to hit 250bhp.
Remeber though, that a SC kit is...
