Well lets be sensible about this, petrol vapour only ignites when exposed to naked flames or hot surfaces, yeah?. And my turbo timer is set for 30secs.
OK then lets play scenario time, if I pull into a petrol station and start filling my car within 30 seconds of switching it off (completely...
They really are simple to fit, it's the fact you can't lock your doors untill the engine switches it's self off.
I always enjoy the looks I get at petrol stations when I jump out and start filling up, then as people are shaking their heads at me for leaving the engine running it swithces it's...
Jay it should be both oil and water cooled, if it's a conversion ktec done with out water cooling then I recomend that you plumb some cooling in. Garrett don't fit them with water jackets for a laugh.
I have a turbo timer that runs for 30 seconds when I switch the engine off, however the way...
Danny are you sure there 480cc? as when I first started looking at a different set up for mine I done loads of digging around about the injectors just going off the part numbers on mine and the consensous was that they were 390cc?
Darren if your going to go to the extent of removing all that...
Well done Darren nice to see it hit 280bhp bet you were loving the drive home. Did you manage to humble any one?
The meg injectors are only supposed to be around the 390cc mark @ 3 bar hence why the meg lads all swap them out to hit over 260bhp so TBH i'm not suprised that there maxed out, as...
Laz I didn't call you coz you were sh1t! you didn't even have the "god damn common courtesy to give a guy a reach around" and your snoring drove me mad.
Ben should I expect to see this as a magazine feature at some point in the near future? ;)
Probably the fact that he's sprayed hundreds of cars, so it's hardlies likely to be a disaster is it.
If a proffesional car painter sprays his own car using professional spraying equipment is it really a DIY job? In my eyes it isn't but if you think it is then thats fine.
Bens a proffesional sprayer so it's hardly a DIY job, I've actually seen the car in the flesh and his work is top notch and considerably better than the standard paint on my trophy (orange peel central).
Think you'll probably find that a normal exhaust garage/fitter won't have one of these.
Speak to Ktec and see what they can do. If not just take it to an exhaust place like powerflow etc.. and see if they can modify one of your cats to a straight through 2 1/4" pipe that fits in the sleeve of...
Yes mate, for track work you need a gear box that suits your power band, high revving N/A throttlebodied and cammed engines tend to have a narrow band at the top of the rev range, so longer ratios would drop you outside of the power band on gear changes, where as turbo cars tend to have a broad...
There alot longer to be honest.
1st is similar for both
2nd is slightly longer
3rd is good for 100mph +
4th is pretty much the same as original 5th
5th is god for 180+
Whilst they seem extreme for a clio when written down like above, if you consider I'm running 267bhp and...
I'm running a jc5 128 gearbox from a dci 80 and it's been spot on.
It suits the characteristics of big power torquey turbo conversions, plus they tend not to of had such a hard life unlike most 1*2 gearboxes.
Ktec had fitted some Bosch 4's to mine but I've now got ngk R used for meganes.
Bought them from sparkplugs r us
Heres another thread with some other suggestions

Jay they do fit mate as I've just fitted a set to mine, and as most people know turbo'd or highly tuned engines use a colder grade.
As such clios use PFR6 and megs PFR7 (the higher the number the colder the plug)
Just a thought as most people say that the stock injectors will flow enough for an ITB setup (200bhp or so) so figured a litte bit more pressure might be all it needs.
Whats the highest figure likely to be achieved on ITB's and 421's?
If your running a PH1 with the regulator on the rail you could investigate the feasibility of just fitting a 4 bar regulator instead, that would probably be the cheapest option
Mate you could try RStuning as when ever Paul does a stage 2 megane he fits larger injectors as the stock ones don't flow enough fuel for over 270bhp or so (which makes me a bit curious as to whether they actually are 480cc's as mentioned above) Any way even if he doesnt have them he might be...
