Genuinely looking forward to tomorrows results, even if it's only in the region of 260/270 the same as mine you'll be astonished at how quick it is.
I guarantee you'll be torturing stuff on the way home.
Popped round Bens earlier to drop a couple of things off and had a look round his car, he's done a first class job considering the time scale and it's going to look spot on when he's finished.
OK then as I don't have my work shop manual I'll just apply common sense and throw a couple of ideas at you.
Looking at it in those pictures it would appear to have a wood ruff key way, if thats so then there is no way your going to rotate the engine with the locking tools in position...
Looking at the pic, does it even remove from the crank?
I'm at work at the moment and don't have my work shop manual but give anyone of the specialists a ring as I'm sure they'll be more than happy to tell you before you break something.
Your right Godspeed.
Scott save your cash mate, there are loads of other ways of geting more power from a turbo setup without resorting to changing the cams. Scoff has proved that the stock ones will flow over 450bhp.
However if you are insistent on getting a set speak to Craig (Stan*) at...
yes it could cause an air leak.
The ph1 clio 172 have a breather system which feeds into the underside of the inlet manifold. On ph2 they have a blanking plate on the rocker cover.
Both have the hole in the lower side of the plenum so if it's not sealed against the blanking plate you will get...
I actually had a cossie t3 in my hands last night, bizarly.
The info I got on the turbo was its a GT2560r (GT28R) with a modified T3 .42 comp housing.
Now obviously a stock GT28R should flow 300bhp how ever with the smaller comp housing I'm not so sure.
So do you think a .86 hot side...
Mines running stock trophy suspension and HC brembo discs coupled with ds2500's + braided lines.
Handles the turbo conversion without any issues at all.
Mate I wish I'd came across this thread earlier you so should of stuck with the normal style fuel pressure regulator, even the VAG lads are just using a 4 bar reg and 630c injector to get over 500bhp.
I have the full ktec FPR including braided hoses and return tail for the tank just sitting...
The gt28r with the AR.60 comp rather than the .42 would be good
Intercooler is different and so is the pipework diameter also the injectors are different as the old kit came with 480 picos and the new kit 390 megane 225 injectors. Other than that the kit you have is the same.
The new kit...
I can't quite see the scale or the boost figures but admittedly it looks a lot smoother than mine (which peaks at 22psi before plunging back to 12psi) interesting photbucket title, who's hpt was it? and whats it putting out?
Sorry mate thats what I meant the power drops off dramatically at 6500.
I have'nt got any graphs scanned into the computer otherwise I could of uploading them to show you.
At least try one, you'd be blown away at how tractable they really are, I had the misfortune of driving an Ignis sport a few years ago and it would wheelspin everywhere just becausre the chassis was so poor and that was with 115bhp.
They really are impressive
