When he text me saying the T was for sale and said what he bought my text back was:
NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Lol, love you really Dave, sad to see the T going, but I'm not sad as you're just like me, you will go 6-8 weeks before buying another ;) x
Better suited could mean faster/better feel/cheapest to run etc - IMO the Mk1 doesn't feel as good as the mk2, but mk1's tend to be a bit faster in a straight line due to being lighter, though again IMO a correctly set up mk2 'should' be a bit qucker in the bends but i'm taking such small...
DONT USE FLUSH.
Most have too many detergents that do more harm than good - in fact it can burn off deposits that can cause problems on older engines - take the advise, stick it in ebay and get rid of it
He might know alot dude but there is only one reason why you would fit carbs over itb's and thats money and noise - you can normally buy carbs cheaper than an itb setup, and they make a great noise, but in terms of tunability they are a step backwards - ask any mapper/tuner and they will say...
I'm on my phone so not a great picture but they look like carbs to me, not itb's.
If they are carbs, why is he not fitting itb's? I find it very hard to understand why someone would go through all the effort sorting out fitting carbs, sorting out a way to control the ignition seperately, then...
Agreed, I found the 2500's are good if you don't brake like you're racing, a few hard laps then a lap of a little gentle braking and they are ok :)
Car's coming along great btw!
The only real difference it will make is if it's REALLY gunked up it may make the butterfly 'slightly' stick when going on throttle, but in reality, no you won't notice a difference as the light coating of gunk and oil on it isn't enough to cause any disruption
Come get my spare shell, crack on with the 20v using my shell as a template, then it will be all ready to chuck in the Monaco when the time comes - plus with my shell you don't need to worry about cutting bits off as it will be scrapped anyway
looks nice mate, though have the reinforced where the cage welds to the rear 1/4 panels? That inner skin there is wafer thin, and I have seen cars rip the metal out before in crashes
If it helps I can vouch for the car, it is a nice one and feels very solid - a well looked after R32 should cover miles well and it feels like it has done half the mileage.
