I can't believe that. Over 9K for an expression. I got offered a brand new MK3 Dynamique TCE for £150 a month inc payment protection from Arnold Shark and they arn't exactly cheap.
I would have sold him mine for £2.5K and mines a better, and newer model.
Fail tbh.
I agree but some people do the mods to aid driveability. For example a remap for a better torque curve, inlets/decat/exhaust to make it more responsive and free revving.
I'd only realy count power mods personally as cams, ITB's and forced induction. The other mods only see them nocking around...
Totally agree Winston. My 1.2 16V is gutless, not very economical and almost 4 x the tax of a DCi.
I wish i'd have gone for a DCi 80, couldn't believe how much quicker it felt than mine when I went in one.
However if I ever change to another non RS Clio it will be a DCi.
I also think...
I'd shop around more. Theres no point in saying should have go a 2.0 because she had one and sold it.
Hope its worth it when its all sorted, i'm sure it will be.
Bell are good i've got a quote for around £1300 FC on a 106 Gti. I only renew at the end of August so will try flux closer to the time I'm currently doing IAM and flux give 25% off if you've done that. I'm still hoping to get a decent quote on a 172 cup but more than likely i'll be getting a 106...
If i was after a project car i'd choose a williams if I was willing to do more work on it because it is likely to need more work doing than a ph1 172.
If I didn't want to get my hands quite as dirty i'd get a ph1 172.
