I will go against what everyone else is saying about the CV gaiter. If this splits and dumps oil on your disc you are f**ked as you will need a new disc and pad.

Possibly could of over tightened them. Personally would of done them up by hand and just give it an extra quarter of a turn.

At the truck and bus garage I work at it is up to the customer whether or not to take the vehicle. We explain and advise them they shouldn't but if the insist we get them to sign a disclaimer, basically relieving ourselves of any blame. Maybe you could ask about that?

The Transit is the only large van we have, but it's a breakdown van so needs to be at work on standby all the time and it's got work benches in so its rendered useless anyway.
