If it 's been looked after it sounds a lovely car!
Hopefully it will have had the occasional long trip, rather than 2 miles a day.
As meantioned, get the belts done ASAP - it puts the price of the car up above 3k, probably up to 3.5k once you have fixed all the niggles, thats what is worth, so...
Flol this tickled me
Looks nice mate, but needs bigger wheels! 18's fill the arches nicely without looking like a drug dealer.
Front end with the black grilles look awesome
Big old bump for this one.
Was looking at purchasing last year, but decided against it, but now it's got so cheap Iv made the plunge - as new condition off Ebay for £11.
Not bought for the 1 player, just for multi-play, so 2 mates have also purchased it - from what I gather from reading...
Yup, though if im still on the Toyo Proxy 4 crap iv got on now I won't have any grip at all lol.
With it not mapped right, and full interior, plus these crappy tyres, if I can get high 14's to start il be happy - aiming for low 14's once mapped :)
thats dair enough mate, Id rather have some softer compound track based tyres, only because id want there to be a little slip - that way it will spin up slightly rather than something else breaking
Try not launching in the middle of the strip - if there is any moisture in the air, the middle of the strip gets greasy as every car parks in the same spot in the middle of the track and puts 2 lines of rubber in the same place - moisture and rubber makes a greasy track (ooh-err)
If you move...
To fully solve it, yes it sounds as if you need a new box, but first, give the box an oil change and make sure you use the correct grade oil, and buy some Forte diff and gear treatment (you can get it off Ebay) it's great stuff and the only additive i use - it won't fix it, but id make a very...
Iv been going 3-6ish times a year for the past 13 years lol, mostly RWYB's and 5 ultimate street cars, until they got faaaaar too chavvy.
Will be heading up within the next 6 weeks, il have a look and the calendar and we should get a few of us to go
Congrats mate! :D
Im booking mine next week, for next month :)
Been takign my time looking for kit, been into my local suppliers a few times, but im trying to stick to a medium of not spending way more money than I actually have, and not buying cheap tat that will put my life at risk
I hated my exhaust knocking, then i bought a yozza and never had exhaust issues again - wish i had bought one from the start, i spent 40,000 miles trying different exhausts lol.
Wish tjey did a yoz for the mk1 :( may have to ask Fred to knock something up lol
Tbh from my experience you go full out or not at all.
For a bit of reference, my old mk1 Clio hybrid (1.8 16v with a Williams engine) ran 14.3-14.4 all day long at Pod, once i had stripped it i got that down to 14.0 all day.
i took out the rear seats, all boot and rear trims, all a b and c...
