Seriously? Having a fight in the middle of the road because someone was beeping at you?
surely there is more important things to be worrying about?
The OP did wind the bloke up a bit, and the bloke stepped over the line - if he had hit him back he could be arrested now for GBH, or in a casket...
Mum is pretty awesome, she told one of my mates (bear in mind this was the first time she had met him) that he 'needed a hair cut, and stand up straight, as he looks like a hairy dwarf' lol
It all falls down to what you want from a car, no more, no less. (Unless you are REALLY vain)
Take me as an example, I ran the black Clio for over 5 years and 50,000 miles - I worked hard with my business and managed to get up some money and sold the clio to buy the Elise.
LOVED the Elise...
Yeah, black one went, I lasted nearly a year, then bought a silver one, then this one lol.
Well when you are ready to go for it, if you need any info just PM me dude :)
I itb'd mine on approx 133k, and it got death, track days, santa pod - you name it - look after it and it will be fine.
Of course, preventative maintinance is good, so a refresh wouldnt hurt, but not 100% nessesary imo as long as yours is healthy.
get a compression/leakdown test maybe
My last classic mini had a pretty good build, made 86bhp atf from 1016cc - bear in mind standard 998cc minis have 38bhp - anyway i nailed it through 1st and 2nd and as i hit 9000rpm in 2nd i had a massive jolt and missfire.
thought id blown it, turned out a rocker nut had worked loose and...
If you do drop a £1, run some water through it, this guy did, all worked out fine

Just remember not to rev it, leave it idling
I can tell you what would happen, you would be £1 less richer - just think of all those penny sweets you could have bought with that £1 :(
Good times, good times
We just need you, mike and neil to pull your fingers out (*runs for the hill for that comment :quiet: :p) and finish yours, and for Bomber to realise he needs another Clio ( I give him 4 weeks) and then job done :D
Well you shouldnt be driving flat out alot - stupid thing to do.
Anyway, yes the 318 will be slightly better on fuel, but no where near as much as you think.
With the weight of the car, a 318 will end up around 30 mpg - which is what you get with a 325/328 - and this is coming from experience (ex-318is coupe owner)
