No use to me mate, and I dont have the space to fully rebuild it - it is fully bare, no engine/box/entire front end and as you can see on the interior pic no interior either lol
So it is a whole load easier for me to remove the cage and refit it in mine than rebuild that entire car
OMP WRC I think it is mate, il check.
Well just got in after a 7 hour round trip, with lots of LOLz in getting this out it's hiding place, but I have returned home with this:
Oh hai to:
Custom cages cage, with extra cross bars (This is a new cage - it has been fitted...
this.
the very simple mechanics are thus:
if you want more noise you get an exhaust and filter.
if you want more power/nicer drive on a standard 1*2 and dont want to comprimise any of the cars standard features then you get the rs2.
if you want even more power/noise and want the...
I had the uprated mounts and prototype Purple power flex bushes on my old one and the only difference was a slight vibration at idle - this time round just dogbone for me - bear in mind iv never found them harsh at ll
id ring matt at tdf mate, he will recommend a filter to suit what you need-iv not looked back at the pics do you have a short rad? as that will make a difference to which one you can buy - matt can get you most mind :)
my suggestion is a pipercross filter with a solid back plate - itbs take...
ah right mate, definately get to paul - the difference a custom map with those mods will make a great difference and pauls rollers are pretty damn good
You should be close mate, though a custom map - you should have got a power reading from that?
Go to RS Tuning or Tour-De-Force - both have reputable rooling roads that offer accurate -verging on undereading
Id say with decent cams, you will be close to 200 mate, with more torque - as said speak to Fred, im sure he sells some great cams that get a decent chuck of power :)
(I put mine on another set of rollers and came out with 175 atw and 220 at the fly - i laughed lol)
Most RR's do over read mate - remember every rolling road is estimating the BHP - the power at the wheels is the 'accurate' one (although that can be miles out depending on the make of rolling road, the operators experience, the temperature, the mode the rolling road runs in, tyre make and...
Look at the bottom of the picture at the lip at the top and the odd rough area at the bottom left corner - this shows how most come - with this tdied up and matched the other part of the manifold makes a smoother drive
On most engines those mods would get somewhere around 180-185bhp mate, dont listen too much to rolling road results, most over read
With decent cams, and a decent map you will get close to 200, speak to fred @ BTM, im sure he deals in some pretty fancy cams
Logic says if the breather is blocked mate, it wont use oil as the oil wont be able to get past the blockage.
Oil in the box as said can be normal.
Take the plugs out, see if they are oily - compression test it, plug leads could be breaking down, coolant temperature sensor could be knackered...
Yup, (ITB filter) is crap - lost me 17bhp and broke up and started getting sucked into the trumpets - happened on a few others, Sharkey's trophy for one.
Stunning car just loose the filter mate
