Car  clio sport 182 cup
hi,i've just had my car chipped and rollin roaded at motorscope the othe day,the clio pushed out 194.4 at the fly,it has upper and lower matched inlets and slightly bored out,v6 air box, heat wrapped manifold and a milltek straight threw exhaust, done away with middle silencer.

thing is am thinking of gettin it cammed, what cams would be best and in reality what extra gains will i be achiving.200?

it's a 182,very healty engine n fully serviced every 5k. cheers.

On most engines those mods would get somewhere around 180-185bhp mate, dont listen too much to rolling road results, most over read

With decent cams, and a decent map you will get close to 200, speak to fred @ BTM, im sure he deals in some pretty fancy cams

yeah i see people gettin in the mid 180's,but i no before i had the car mapped i had it rollin roaded sum where else and it put 188.

Most RR's do over read mate - remember every rolling road is estimating the BHP - the power at the wheels is the 'accurate' one (although that can be miles out depending on the make of rolling road, the operators experience, the temperature, the mode the rolling road runs in, tyre make and pressure - the list is endless)

for a genuine 190bhp you would need somewhere around the 160bhp mark at the wheels - my old itb'd car made 193bhp at the fly and 160bhp at the wheels for reference - this was on RS Tuning's rolling road

Do you have the rolling road graph to see the at the wheel power mate?

Id say with decent cams, you will be close to 200 mate, with more torque - as said speak to Fred, im sure he sells some great cams that get a decent chuck of power :)

(I put mine on another set of rollers and came out with 175 atw and 220 at the fly - i laughed lol)

That mean im around the 200 mark???

Catcam 428
182 heatwrapped manifold
Matched inlets
Panel filter and CAF
remap
Decat and stainless exhaust

Its getting rolling roaded soon and dont know what to expect

You should be close mate, though a custom map - you should have got a power reading from that?

Go to RS Tuning or Tour-De-Force - both have reputable rooling roads that offer accurate -verging on undereading

Its not a custom map :( i need one of those. I was thinkin rs tuning to map it and get a dyno aswel, just need to sort it out lol

Power diffrence from standard is brilliant though

ah right mate, definately get to paul - the difference a custom map with those mods will make a great difference and pauls rollers are pretty damn good

Take it pauls the rs tuning guy? Yeah defo needs going up there. Theres nothing down by me, hense the generic map lol

i use TDF and RST for my mapping/dyno stuff (depends who's nicest to me on the phone ;))

i don't do mapping as i don't under stand computers - if i don't know how to do something i leave it to people who do

you won't see past 195bhp and maybe 175lbs with cams, higly unlikley you have 194.4

350 is fine by me for a decent map

Thanks for the info fred, i will post figures etc up on my project thread when it gets done
