He has the right idea I think, because when Castlepoints car park was first built lumps of car park were falling on peoples cars, so they had to close the whole thing.
The standard steels i had on my 1.2 had no grip at all, you could even coax the back end out! And it wheels spun in 2nd in a 1.2 in the wet, I dread to think what they would be like on a 172.

Yeah looks surprisingly good actually, I had a horrible feeling this thread was going to show that you had covered them with coloured hose pipe, which seems to be popular but looks gash.
One of my mates has a 51 plate Golf 1.6, its not that quick really and handles like a bus, the build quality is good though, not very sporty.
Another mate has an imperial Blue Zetec S, looks stunning, goes well, handles very well, but at the end of the day its still a fiesta and the interior is...

Oh rite, must have been a fair wack to make it Cat C, I only mention it as a friend of mine has bought a Clio recently that turns out is Cat C. That appears to of had a bump in the passenger rear arch too, full of filler this one, but as long as he parks it that side to the fence when he sells...
As said above the interior is a give away, check the pedal rubbers etc, steering wheel like an ice rink etc
Assuming its a 1.2 at 21k it should still be running the original Conti tyres.
