As above, mines been fine, they are good cars for the money the 1.2 16v, and despite the odd rattle they are still alot better built than the 106/ saxo/ corsa etc.

My 1.2 16v does 400 to a tank, there is not a lot of difference between the 1.2 16v and the 1.4 16v.

Depends on the year and the miles to be honest, you can get a straight one for that money on a Y/51reg with 50kish for that money.

The lack of service history would really put me off. Cat D not so much and the cam belt can be done, its not overly modded by the look of things. I guess £3.5k is about right as one with service history and accident free would be worth around £5.5k.

Mines a 2001 Expression (unfortunatly) yet it has the standard Renault CD player, must have been an option from new I guess.

Made a mistake in the above the cable throttle did feel more direct and connected. May have been a combination of the clutch and the fact that I was shitting myself about bumping it and was quite intimidated at first temporarily forgetting how to drive!
