Iv always been under the impression with Clio's that its not worth doing this, as the rear end is so light, and as the rears barely do anything anyway.
Any track go'ers ever had any problems with rear brakesand upgraded?
Thanks :)
yes mate it will be the mani on the subframe, what i did was pull mine as far forward as possible then drive it,see what its like, and adjust to suit, but mine was fine all the way forward.
you can adjust the top one mate (on the o/s) by undooing the 4 large bolts and pulling the engine forward. Be aware though you need alot of strength to do it, and it is easier if you jack up the engine slightly to aid. you can move it forward a good 1/12 inches, and will help
Well, he didnt see the appeal of the Clio until i took him out in it on the last airfield day i did, i was expecting more from him being an ex-rally driver :(
I really doubt il ever sell mine, for example im driving some of my business cars at the mo, means the Clio is Sorn'd, and my Dad said to me why dont i sell the Clio and buy something else now i can drive any of my cars and apparently the face i gave him was as if he had asked me to shoot a row...
If i have a really bad week/month and say something goes wrong with it, and i get in one of those moods where i just want another car, i go for a drive and look at pics like these (2 of my favourites) i remember how good it looks when its clean and...
... i fall in love all over...
I think they are starting to rise in price again, but to be honest mate, do you really want to sell it? what would you buy?
For the money you simply cant go any faster, and still have 35mpg and 5 seats and no silly running costs
Wonder where you got those from ;)
Looks smart mate, as Ben said the brakes need uprating and get a nice exhaust on it, makes the world of difference!
Get the software checked on the ECU too, as we have software upgradess all the time for most VW's.
In fact the latest update for the...
I prefere the feel of mine on 195's than my parters 182 on 205's, the 182 feels a bit more stable at higher speeds, but i felt like i could throw mine around more, and to me after comparing the two over many months and many thousands of miles i prefere the way my Ph1 drives, it just feels more...
Also if Henk didnt charge for unlocking then you could sell remaps your self,he is out to make money, its his business that he has put months, years into, of course he has to make money and i think the price is very fair for the service you recieve
The anti roll bars are the same as far as i know
The track is wider on the cup, but its acheived by different hubs as well as the wheels mate.
The 182 has wider track also
Re: Brought a ph2 172 but
I have had a ph1 172 for over 3 years and over 40k, and have driven my partners old LY 182 roughly 8k and there are tiny differences but in all reality there is naff all difference.
Put it this way im perfectly happy keeping mine (in fact i prefere the ph1)
So it does turn over mate? What i mean is if you bump started it, the engine would physically turn over, whether it starts or not?
Its gotta be an earth problem, there is an earth strap down by the n/s/f wheel mine worked loose once, worth checking it
