I will state the only bad bits:
Gear linkages feel a bit floppy, may need adjusting
Engine mounts are a bit worn

Iv not been on too much lately, the Clio so far has done 300 miles this year, and eventually after 143k something went wrong with it!
Ever since iv started selling cars iv been using whatever iv had, but a few weeks ago i planned on taking the Clio to work, but she fired up on 3 cylinders...
Also if your fitting springs, unless your shocks are new i would fit new shocks too, the extra pressure on them from the springs being lower will make it feel like a jellyed eel.
Dont forget new top mounts and bearings too
it will need to come off to paint it mate?
Would have been worth waiting till it was painted.
also thats a 172 bumper, the 182 have the 2 cut outs for the exhaust, unless they have been filled

I have done so a few times mate, iv had a Mk4 Golf, a Mk3 VR6 on coilovers (had that for years) and a Mk3 Gti 16v.

yes, we have some Cryotox which expandsthe seals and keeps them from drying out
It does eem complicated, but i think the main difference is all the mech is on show with the Eos, a lot of manufacturers hide all the moving bits lol.
And to be fair to VW, its a fantastic system, iv seen...
Yeah mate i would say, we have had a few convenience ECU's give up, but more problems due to water ingress, though these later style seals seem to fix it all
