For a while (as some of you know) i have been having no end of trouble with my engine mounts.
I have always found them to be too weak, even though iv had 3 brand new sets from Renault, including all new nuts, bolts and studs.
(I will also state now i have had the mounts all checked to make...
cheers matey :) it looks a lot better in the flesh as it were :)
Cheers :)
Not too bothered about the wheela atm mate, if i get no interest then il start pulling bits off
On the mileage side of things, its not a bit high, its actually 2k under the average for a 2000 year car ;)
And...
Iv started selling cars part time and iv just grabbed two little bargains:
Pics of this are coming later:
Saab 9-5 estate
T reg
2.3 turbo
A complete bus, really good condition, and feels like you could do a million miles in it!
But the fun one is this:
Y reg Saxo VTS
118k with...
iv got the k-tec grp n ones with a dogbone mount im testing (report up soon) and its fantastic mate
Also check the stud running through the gearbox mount, as mine has come loose many times causing the knocking from the left like yours
iv had one on my ph1 for 3 years and 40,000 miles, did break to begin with which put me off, bt it was my engine mounts at fault, now they are fixed its been spot on :)
We had a mint Austin A35 scrapped, belonged to the A35 owners club Chairman, he passed away, his wife scrapped it against a new polo, the number plate alone was worth 7k
No, but thats not my point, to some people its an old Clio, to people, oh i dunno lets say on a Clio forum, its a good car thats been scrapped for no reason
Just had a really nice condition mk1 Clio 16v part ex'd in at work, its Mreg, blue, a bit dirty but solid rear arches and boot, 83,000 miles from new, really good oil pressure, i havent seen one in this condition for a long time.
I thought thats brilliant il buy it, turns out its on the...
Early ph2s have no traction control and no esp,no cd changer also no climate control iirc, later ph2' 172s have all of that
thats the only difference as far as im aware
it depends, what noise is it? if its a grating noise it could be the aux belt, and if its a diesel engine type noise then it could be the dephaser pulley
Never heard of that before, and by the look of the ad its been abused like hell, and 6k on the engine for an extra 30 bhp?
'leaves any type r standing!'
Stay far away
Thanks matey, i hope so, heart breaking to have to sell it :(
I know Danny, i know it high priced, but it is a very nice one, as said 6 months ago i could have sold it 10 times over lol
Agreed, i think £6500 is too much for it.
Mine is the one in the For Sale section, and iv lowered the price to £7000 now, always the way really, as 6 months ago LY's were demanding a big premium, they still seem to hold their money, just not quite as much as they did
A mate had a red top in a nova, with exhaust, filter and chip, and my old mk1 hybrid used to pull a good few legnths, i personally dont like them, i would happily take a willy/hybrid over one any day
