As long as you carry out all the usual checks then id be happy buying ne on that mileage, mines just coming up on 134k and has been tracked on and off the last 35k and still runs and drives lovely
The chap with the trophy is 168k last time i saw and he says it also runs nice
A chap who is local to me, does Unitchips mostly and has customers from all over the UK, in fact he had a chap bring his E30 M3 over from Holland for him to map it
the easy way i find is undo the clip holding the pipe to the tb
then pull off the breather hose
then twist the whole inlet pipe so the opening is facing up and the hole for the breather you removed is facing down
the box will now lift out easily
refit is the reverse
Get your gearbox mount checked
iv had this noise, sounded like suspension/driveshaft area, turned out the stud that the box mount bolts to, the bottom nut had come loose
Fantastic Stan, that would be great if you could, im tempted to stick them on and see what its like, but il weigh everything up first
My reasoning is as the overall inlet of air will be nearly 1.5 times more than the standard single tb from a rough working out, is that correct?
Again, im not...
Silly question as iv not done much work with bodies, if 40mm will strangle a 2.0, if a std tb is 63mm, how is 40mm x 4 =160mm going to strangle it?
Genuine question here, not meant sarcastically :)
Picked up last night:
40mm(i think) Jenvey itbs
DTA ECU
FPR
Fuel rail
Loom and manifold
il admit, the loom and the manifold are 106 GTi/VTS (as thats what they have come off) and the map on the DTA is for a cammed itb'd VTS, so if i choose to fit them il need a few new bits, but...
Ph1 owners will say Ph1 is better, Ph2 owners will say Ph2s are better, i suggest driving a Ph2 and seeling if you prefere it
I prefere ph1 which is why i own one lol
133k
Cat back exhaust
Matched inlets
Slows down at the top end, hopefully once iv pulled my finger out and loaded up a map from my rs tuner it will be a bit better
Oh and a bit of old school tuneage ;)
Suprised no ones meantioned this, what tyres are on the car?
Mine had budgets on when i got it, and the abs would lock when i even looked at the brake pedal, now G/year F1's are on its alot better
