It wont make a blind bit of difference filling up with another fuel mate, think of it this way:
You are using fuel X, but want to use fuel Y, you start using fuel Y right away, and it will mix with the remainder of fuel X untill a tank or so later, when all of fuel X has gone and your now onto...
removing the following out of my MK1 Clio;
rear seats
parcel shelf
spare wheel
carpet
reduced my 1/4 mile time from 14.4 @ 98 mph to 14.0 @ 102 so to some people thats a worth while gain.
Clio's range so much, as said Chris's clio is a quck Ph2, and Jon's williams is a quick PH1, iv seen Ph2 172 struggle getting into the 15s at Pod before so its all a lottery lol
Right, what has worked for me is a hammer and something to impact, a ratchet extension etc, and try to hit it to the side, it will loosen adventually, it just gets stuck to the stud, keep hitting it from all sides and it will loosen mate
As a comparason, at the Pod after many runs on many different days my old mk1 ran 14.4 @98 mph as an average.
After taking out the following:
Rear seats
Rear door cards
spare wheel
parcel shelf
boot carpet
interior carpet
Still in were std front seats, front door cards, roof lining, dash etc...
Check the stud that goes through the gearbox mount, mine worked loose a few times and has caused this exact problem mate, on mine the nut works loose on the bottom of the stud
Yes, a ph1 box will pull an indicated 65ish in 2nd, so unless your speedo is out for any reason and your still on std sized wheels id say uou have a different box
