182
In 2004 though (most 53 plate 182 is likely to be a demo car for a dealership) the 182 was produced. Changes weren't that large though.
New front suspension drive shafts hubs dampers springs were made
Rear suspension was changed
Leather seats spec was changed
The rear spare wheel well...
iv done approx 20k on my prolines and i think they are great, the ride is slightly harder, but iv had every make of uprated springs under the sun on various cars, and Pro's are different than any other iv used, i can do the 3 1/2 hour trip to see my cousin and get out 100% fine, in fact if your...
Well martin rolled mine lol :(
lol mine was the same mate, pulled on a 300 bhp RX7, a 298 Saffire Cos, and an E36 M3, all owned by the same bloke! He kept popping home to ge tthe next car as he couldn't believe how quick the Clio was lol
I never got into the 13's but it ran 14.0 all day...
ah, well yes it would, but if the shell is scrap then anything over £100 isn't really worth it, you could put it in yours, but only if the engine is in good nick, and making close ti its proper power, iv seen thrashed ones only make in 120's bhp
"It would appear the Clip 172 Cup is 'only' 70kg lighter than the 182 Cup. Power to weight is 168 vs. 171 but then the 172 is prob. less likely to make it's stated out put so it's prob. even closer in reality. Not going to say either is faster...but you can see why people would think the 172 Cup...
Lol, its down to what you want mate, it will run on 95 without problem, personally i use super, only on the base that we spend £££££ modding our cars with the best parts, why skimp and use inferior fuel, yes your not going to notice a huge difference on super but its better for your engine and...
lol they are up to date views mate this is covered about 3 times a week, some people will say use super, some say it will make no difference, and there is no preference between all the big players ( v power, tesco 99 etc) its all down to your personal preference
Do a search mate its done done a million times

i see no real point unless your running some serious power, though i suppose everything helps
This is my friends, we had to lift the bonnet as the under bonnet temps were crazy, though he is running a V6 with 2 turbo's lol
I can see what your saying matey, but i still dont think it makes it a cup, the cup has always been about lightness, lack of equipment to improve the driving experience, imo i dont think there should have been a 182 cup, i think it simply should have been the 182 with any option you wanted, that...
if you want to spend £6000 on a Clio = 182
if you want to spend £3000-4000 on a Clio ph2 172
If you want to spend £2000 on a Clio - Ph1 Clio
Thats the way i look at it :)
But what about all the other bits its got that could have been saved? it could have had a non reflective front screen, less sound deadening etc etc.
Yes i see your point about the weight thing, but then if a porky chap drives a cup, and a light girl drives a ph1, then the ph1 will be lighter...
I think that means Evo thinks the 182 cup is better 'every day' than a 172 cup, i wonder if things like this come up on other forums, the old VTS/GTi aregument for example, i bet it happens on scooby forums, i mean there are 200000000000000 different types of Scooby lol
Then again iv still...
