Not much difference between the two, i have the use of my ph1 ans my other halfs 182, yes ph1 picks up slightly quicker, and when using alot of on/off throttle it is noticable, but the ph2 is still nice to drive,as is the ph1
What danny said, you need to fully re-lube the spring, and the edges of the spindle inside the body mate? iv found its very important to lube the spindle fully, otherwise the butterfly will still stick

This will be your problem, follow my guide and it WILL be fixed mate, iv done over 2000 miles now and mine is still perfect, before doing this no matter what i tried didnt fix it, you have to leave it to soak in properly though, best to...
aww cheers fella :o
Yeah i have a few ideas mate, as said will be tested using the same rolling road, to hopefully get some full and decent info on any increases i get :)
Well you can only check so much mate, a leak down test will give you a rough idea if there is any cylinder leakage, but i dont think there is much more you can do without stripping it
well i have a few in the pipe line fella, and will be tested on the rollers each stage at a time, so i have a fairly accurate idea of any increase in power
Waste of time on high mileage? Just getting the power back that you have lost over the years?
Would be interesting to hear from anyone who has done this, lets say anything over 90,000 miles please nothing under that!
I have a Ph1 172, and my patner has a 05 plate 182, hers is quieter, but hers is std, where as mine isn't, but personally, i dont think they drive any different
Not really Tom, its weird, logic would say the lighter it is the faster it can go, but weight will not effect top speed, it might reduce the rate you reach it, but it will still end up going the same speed flat out loaded as it would empty
