But the point of my thread was just about comparing the Clio's :S
I wonder if we took a poll of random people, if the cup would be seen as the fastest/best/ etc? lol
Where did you read that mate? All reviews i read about the cup was if you wanted a more driver orientated car get the cup, if you wanted something with a bit more luxury buy the normal 172
im not slating the 182 cup, its just as good as the rest ( there is very little between the whole 1*2...
i think he means the idea behind the 172 cu was as much weight loss at possible, -89kgs, where the 182 cup only had a few things taken off, and only dropped the weight -20kgs
though the cup has the better suspension, so that is a good thing
If it helps mine has not been remapped yet, but i have got matched inlets, it does feel a bit faster, but much more noticable is how smooth the car now is, pulls better at low and high revs, and has smoothed out the fabled '5k kick' , all in all a much more enjoyable car to drive, and really...
Well that Tb'd white Clio used to run 13.1 1/4's, and it definately had a 12 in it with stickier tyres, what would the scooby in, high 12's low 13's id imagine? If a mitsi fq400 runs high 12's id say that Martins old Clio wouldn't be to far off an Ra?
Not putting an Ra down at all, as they are...
lol some interesting views ;)
No, it wasn't someone having a laugh, unfortunately he was genuine, he told me how much faster the cup is than any other Clio, apparently his mate had one, so as we all know that means he is the total authority on Cups ROFL
Funny thing was said to me today, and not for the first time, had a compliment on my car, then was asked ' is it one of them cups?' to which i reply no, then i get the same old response 'oh you should have got one of them mate, they are much faster' and no matter what i tried to explain it fell...
lol if im honest IMO not much mate, you dont want to throwa load of moey at it, a better exhaust, and a cold feed filter will help, the only other thing id suggest is strip it, will make more of a difference and is free! lol
id also say change the brakes and suspension before any engine mods
Ha lol, yeah if you think about it, because the cams are now different, the map you have now will have been made exactly for the way your engine developed power, and now with different cams in, it will be adding fuel/air at the wrong moment, the smalest change can make such a difference matey...
it was mate, i think i managed about 2 laps where i could get my head down a bit, the rest was looking for gaps in the traffic and dodging tw*ts in white fiesta's
Agreed, just check the oil and water, start it, leave it running for a bit, check the levels again and take it for a drive.
mine has been stood up for over 3 months and fired up on first crank
