18" Hollow spokes - How my car would of looked standard.
This is the standard set from my car that I sold as they no longer fitted on the car due to the 380mm brakes.
Not really . Unless your on about the 19" split rims ?
The rest of the car is how the genuine GT2's came from the factory, its actually sitting at the higher end of the GT2 ride height settings as well.
Update
I was hoping to go to a Porsche only Vmax event in a couple of months held at the TOPGEAR track, but sadly looks like Im going to be in Malaysia with work when its on 😧
I recently fitted some silver gauge bezels to tie in with the rest of the silver interior parts.
And also...
Not going to have time this time home Stu , away back on Sat 😧 .
Going to try and get the car on track end of Jan to test the brakes and rack at speed, I think the fact my car idles low is effecting the load to the motor as once the revs are up a bit it feels fine.
SLS is following different regs to SMRC you are ok with fg doors along as a cage is fitted, also there is two levels of road legal.
Road legal as you say with full interior and road legal as in you can legally if you wish drive it to and from the track.
This year in SLS they are having a full...
This is seriously light , just had mine weighed at 920kg and I thought I was doing well. Interested in extra areas for weight loss ,so will be keeping an eye on this.
They are using MSA sprint regs , I am trying to find out more info just now about why the holes will mean i need a full race licence.
I should just need a non race National B licence.
Had the car checked over today and it's good to go as far as regs go apart from needing to cover the holes in the bonnet and bumper for some strange reason. What makes it even stranger is if I the car was road legal they would be ok ???
Car weighs 920kg now or 1008kg with me in it. Diet time...
Yes I lubed them the other day when doing the brakes, actually meant to take the sizes of the bearings to get some dust boots from McGill motorsport.
Ive still not disconnected the loop from the rack, to see if its hydraulically locking but every now and then it seems to clear and stationary I...
Well thats the car ready to get checked over on sunday by the scruitineers at Knockhill to see if it is up to blue book spec.
Im still not overly happy with the steering it seems fine once moving but still , feel like the motor is struggling at low speed.
Harnesses were an early x mas press...
I just told Mikey i wanted Anthracite , really like the colour it has a bit of bronze through the grey. Just need to get two more 2118's then I will be selling my pro race 2's and the OZ's I think.
Got my wheels back today from Fife Powdercoating ,
Im still having issues with the electric steering, I've moved the earths around and tested for continuity on all connections . Im showing just under 14v at the fused live to motor, at one point it looked to have been sorted and i could...
Car away for a year and get it back with poor mapping /cold start issues and a gearbox that doesnt select all gears, that sounds all to familiar I hope you stick at it longer than I did 😞
Putting this up on here as they are trying to drum up more interest in the series for 2015. With the changes made to the classes for next year near standard clios should do well in class E , but I think class D will still have a good few 60's lap cars in it.
