can u do us a favor and measure how long ur de-cat is my hillpower 1800 one appears to be too short and the bolt holes are wrong, ive put my mongoose one on cos thats in two halves and rotates but it doesnt...

lofty- i had the willy box as well cos mine was toast lol
had a new cambelt, fanbelt, gp N clutch. had the willy manifold and willy ecu, plus full mongoose,de-cat an piperx filter i already had, got a dastek unichip to go on yet

i kno i was well impressed wen i looked i only did two runs slight incline other came out at 18.3 i think
just had a williams lump dropped in, mods are mongoose system an de-cat and a induction kit which i already had, not been on rollers yet

did 2 runs to 100, best one of mine on left and teady 172s two runs on right for comparison that he put up in another thread on greasy roads though

yeh i can change like a good en now box is a million times better, the shift seems shorter too for some reason, and my new clutch is lots lighter
more bonuses ive noticed are the steering seems lighter i assume from changing p/s fluid...
defo wouldnt bother with a new cat there expensive im sure theres a few people with de-cats including me that would be willing to lend u theres for MOT time
ive lost count of how many times ive hit the limiter today 1st is a blink an ull miss it hehe
clutch normally just sqeaks when it has oil contamination doesnt take long to burn it off
make sure ur not leaving ur foot on the clutch as im told the bite is quite high on 172s and its easily done without really noticing
rhys- i have come from the 1800 though which has about 700 rpm on top of the willy engine but even so it doesnt struggle to get there at all
seems like the limiter is spoiling the fun and it could easily rev past an keep goin, if your exhaust is not right why dont you get a system an de-cat...

cant see me being lucky enough to get an engine with the power jons has, might get the unichip fitted at weekend if they can fit me in

it cost me around 900 quid for the willy engine and box to be fitted complete with ecu, took em a day an a half and i had a new clutch put in and cambelt e.t.c, plus some other bits that needed doing
they hav done a good job seem to kno wot there doin the guy who did my car has dropped a reno...
just picked up me 2.0 willy engined beast and it goes like fuk
cant get used to the early rev limit though keep hittin it, it just flies into the limiter
useless in the wet though just spins up, scalp one already is one dissapointed rs turbo owner with me spinnin through 1st and second

geting a williams engine isnt exactly easy and clean16vs car has only 25k on it so theres not much point in a higher milage one
id go headwork and cams mate thats the nxt logical step in tuning unless u want to start ripping the lump to bits and lightning an balancing e.t.c
i looked into it...
compomotive ats are almost exactly the same as the dimma wheels and they come in 16s
not sure wether u can still get em though, should think so as u can still get compomotive mos

if craggy breaks the gear lever off and drops second gear on the road he jus goes bak to citreon and they giv him a new one
most willys on the rr day were makin 135-140 @ wheels with mild mods
lol evry 1 was fightin for the wrong side of the road cos it looked the most dry
it makes it more interestin hehe
ill be up for it too see how me new engine does and ill definately be back on 15s

i once had a 306 hdi hire car for a day i think i would have noticed if it had any kind of performance dont ya think
that 118bhp is at about 4000 revs too there useless after that while a valver is just geting goin
