my latest bouts of testing with the ap-22 performance meter has seen my willy engined valver hit 60 in 6.9
repeating it is hard work though most seem to be 7.05 to 7.1
if your car is later than 91 and was fitted with a cat it will probably fail the mot on emmissions if a de-cat is fitted
simple solution is to fit the cat back on for the mot its only a ten minute job

yeh i must say im very tempted by coilovers or certainly uprated rear dampers are on my list cos clean16v beat me off the line easily but he cheated and went before me lol but i still stood there wheelspinnin
the racin is a bit unfair as most slower cars can get maximum traction just bootin...
that car was miles away remember were doin about 70-80 an craggy pulls in ages before the rover who prob didnt even hav to slow down went past, plus that road was fairly flat an u could see a fair way down it

that rover driver had heard about the racin an was rushing down for a go against craggys saxo hehe
adi
nah not on here mate lets just say most of our attitudes to the saxos hav changed since craggy got his which goes like fuk
i shud kno i got beat by him wen i was runnin the 1800

hehe thats willy power for ya, the civics are stupidly quick once in the power band but that power band is very small so comin off a r/a at slow speeds i was able to pull a huge lead

just had a good play today on the lancs went through about a quarter of a tank of juice lol

mine has sagem dials an all the ones ive seen have too
i havent heard very good stories about the white dial kits cos there hard to get on right, might look ok but after a bit the heat off the dials makes them bubble an unstick, if you want em im sure demon tweeks or similar can get them...
you only need to drill so far with decent size bit so you can snap the head off then ull be able to get the wheel off an the rest should come out quite easily when the pressure of the wheel is off
went out in it today for a little spin under 6k its just like a valver under 4k its not got much go but hit 6.5k and it pulls like fuk up to about 8400rpm
the vtec thingy is addictive its mad the engine note changes completely and it flies, i took him out in mine and he doesnt reckon his is...

ph 1s hav badges on the plastic strip, ph 2 clios badges are on the boot not the plastic strip and theyve got holes behind that would need filling and spraying up
adi
one or both of the badges are definately wonky
if you look at the car its definately looks out, pauls looked fine on thursday at the petrol station
its french though what dya expect the badge fitter was probably off eatin garlic or summat instead of fittin badges proper
im not dissing the rsi but it was never meant to be a performance car like the valver but u will find it hard to get insurance for a resonable amount its down to wether u want to pay it
drive both and try an get a 16v parked nxt to an rsi ull know which one ull want :D
also cheap valver...
a lot of high revving 16v engines use a lot of oil if driven hard a lot
my 1800 used to eat it a half litre every 1000-1500 miles wasnt unusual and my mates pug 106gti is the same
the guage has dropped a bit on the willy engine so ill prob put a bit in next week
i thought of that but if there really tight a stud extractor would just wreck the nut before it unscrewed it
best bet is too drill it as long as your careful it shouldnt be too much hassle u just need to weaken it so u can snap the head off
i would be wary about takin it to a garage as...
the pins had bent on my locking nut key and the key would not grip onto the lockin nut just started makin a mess of it
i parked my van nxt to it and put a jack across from the wheel of me van to hold the wheel brace in place then wacked it down with the hammer and they came off in the end
