Junglejim or bluepete from here had some Blazzeo lights from eBay and got on well with them. I read a lot of bad reviews of the various cheap Chinese lights with regards to overheating, differing Whitebalance per light and they don't hold up to much abuse (screw threads strip, cracked plastic...
Its always nice to see an update from your blog pop up in my mailbox at work. Gives me a nice distraction first thing. :)
How are you getting on with the bowens lights?
A bit like the british banger racing but with drifting? At least they are functional then. I thought it was just another look that people were trying to fob off.
My RAT comment stands.
WTF? Do people just make up a new "scene" in order to justify driving around in shitboxes?
Can't afford to get that rust treated? Call it a RAT.
Can only afford Cat C car? Get a Cat A/B and put it back on the road - Call it battle scared.
Agreed that you can save a couple of hundred quid on some things, but 50% savings over global retail prices? The 70-200 f2.8L IS MkII goes for around £2000 the world over. How can it be sold for so much less in China, unless it is a blackmarket knock off. I wouldn't be taking my chances with a...
That's an amazing price for the 2.8 IS MkII (and all the others)!!! Do you have any links for it? All the HK sellers on ebay normally sell at the local rate, but none of them are anywhere close to those prices, in fact they are all almost double.... Have you been given a dodgy site?
Are you are going for the f4 or the f2.8 non IS then? I can't find any 2.8 IS for anywhere near 900!
The f4 and f2.8 can be had for around the same price here.
Have you got a black bonnet on the Clio? I have seen a couple in the village over the years. I'll give you a wave if I see you, I'll be in a blue, 5dr Megane 225.
I'd say it is worth £900 second hand, but I am going by prices over here and not in the UK. They are great lenses, but there are reports that they are a bit soft at 2.8, even more so since the MkII was released. The lens is used by journos and sports photographers the world over which speaks for...
The wide angle diffuser on the 430 only takes it down to 18 mm for direct flash. Bouncing it off a ceiling or wall will generally give far better results which means that the Metz flashes will also be usable.
You can also get diffusors which go over the flash head which send the light out 360...
Nope, I wish! We almost signed off on Websense then our budgets were tightened and I ended up with Barracuda.
It is cheap and does the job (mostly), but I am looking forward to replacing it again!
Me either, but I am in the right dept. ;)
To be honest, most of our staff are travellers (not gypsies) and students. The last thing on their mind seems to be doing the work that they are paid for.
