FAO Anyone with a Safety Devices bolt in cage (issue with door bars)

Mine was pretty flexible before I welded the cross in the centre hoop. It would easily have moved 20mm either way on each leg. I'm not familar with the SD one though. I have the later OMP version, which looks like it is closer to the B pillar to start with, you can't keep the door card but you...

FAO Anyone with a Safety Devices bolt in cage (issue with door bars)

Looking at that pic it looks like you could redrill the floor and pull the cage 15-20mm towards the B pillar. Possibly the same at the front?

    Closed road motorsport consultation

For anyone who would like to respond but can't be arsed I've made it easy for you. Just send the pre-canned response (see below) from the MSA to msc@culture.gsi.gov.uk. Q1. Do you agree with the proposal to give local authorities the powers to allow motor sport events on public roadssubject to...

Why is the time wrong on most android phones?

Not all phones sync to the network time so can drift like any clock. My android phone has an option in the settings, sometimes the network don't provide the service even when you enable the phone to do it.

sonny172cup "track car to race car project"

I use DS3000 and have had issues with discs. I didn't realise it was a known issue with the DS3000. I would get 2/3 races to a set of discs. OEM pad shape.

TDC - is there an easy way to find it?

Would only work for 1 and 4. You could find it for 2 and 3 using the screwdriver method and make your own mark.

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

More bad luck Pete. I feel for you. I wouldn't have thought a leak down test would show something that would destroy your plugs like that. Do you have a hunch? I'd have thought it would most likely be det or over heated plugs. Most likely caused by a faulty sensor throwing the fueling/ignition...

TDC - is there an easy way to find it?

There is a corresponding mark on the gearbox to line it up to. Assuming you have a std flywheel? I'll see if I can find a pic...

TDC - is there an easy way to find it?

There is a mark on the fly wheel you can see it through the gearbox casing - just below the thermostat housing. On a std car it is difficult to see due to loom/air box.

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Watch out for fuel starvation. You don't have a swirl pot do you? I thought you got starvation at Mallory once? I got it at Thruxton and I must have started the race with 40+ litres in the tank.

    Research before a head work

You guys got any info on 422 versus 423 power bands? The ones I've seen on here using either of those cams get very similar results. The 423 seem to have good torque from 5 to 7.5k rpm same as the 422...

Hope it all comes together Pete. RE:camber gauge - I'd have thought a flat piece of wood, some string and a bit trigonometry would be just as accurate. What gauge are you looking at?

Where to buy Cat Cam Valve Springs?

There won't be any benefit to stronger valve springs with 421/438s. They will just sap more power to open the valve.
