    Stupidly loud Ktec stealth

I was hoping to try decat with a centre section as that was defiantly the best sounding setup on my 182 but that was with a n.a. speed 2.25 which just sounded amazing to be honest. The stealth is 2.5" so probably why there's the extra boom I read somewhere that if you chop the tail pipe at a 45...

    Avon zv7

Just getting mine fitted as we speak. Tyre guy says they are a symmetrical. Does that mean I can rotate them left to right or front to back without having to take them off the rims and swap?

    Stupidly loud Ktec stealth

I've got the same problem. I'll be getting a centre section fitted in a few months due to recent news of a baby which I don't want to deafen. If it's still too loud it might be by by Clio, hello boring old man car

Any grommets for a 4awg cable?

Hi guys. I'm gonna fit a sub in my 172 as I miss the bass. Is there a grommet available which will take 4awg cable or am I going to need a stepped drill bit to make a new hole? I had a look and all I could find is the bonnet release grommet hole but that looks mega tight and probably only...

    Clio 1.4 mk 1 1998 ... Power steering noisy ..... and hard

Have you checked if there's any fluid in it? It could have a leak which has caused the pump to run dry and possibly damaged the pump

172 Cup what spacers/camber bolts to buy and why?

Can't say as I've felt a difference fitting 18mm front and 10mm rear hub spacers but I don't track it or drive like a hooligan

    thin spacers with centerring?

Would 5mm even make a noticeable difference? I went with 10mm stub spacers on the rear and could probably get another 10 easily

    Ac delete guide

From what I've read the pas pipes can easily be rerouted to fit this setup.

    Ac delete guide

Pure motorsport have a guide on the website for fitting their variant of the kit. Itl be useful for showing what to do with the pipes etc but not much use for the bracket installation as it's completely different. I think you should release the gas properly at a place which can recover the...

Best place for a gearbox rebuild?

So for 200 they stripped the box out the car, took the box apart, refit it, filled it with oil? Be lucky to get the box took out and put back in for 200 quid let alone rebuilt. Sounds to me like either extremely good mates rates, or the box never actually made it off the car and they just...

    Using Radweld

Basically you need to shake it to get all the "crap" that's in the bottle to float in the water so that when you pour it into your coolant bottle all the crap goes in with the mixture. Personally I'd get a new rad and give the system a good flush. Something tells me that all them iron...

In your opinion what’s this noise??

Go and have another look, it should be fairly obvious if it's what bloke said. But you don't want to keep it running for Long like that or itl take the cam belt out when it goes

Flare nut spanner size for brake lines

Got a set of braided lines on the way from George and just wanted to double check the sizes of flare spanner I'll need to get em off. I seem to remember the one on the front caliper is a 14mm but never checked the other end of that pipe which will be getting replaced and was hoping somebody...

    Imobiliser light when driving

Well I've just realised the light in question is actually the alarm light and not the imobiliser. What could cause it to arm while driving?

    Imobiliser light when driving

This has happened twice now on the way home from work. Driving perfectly fine, then out of nowhere the imobiliser light next to the gearstick will come on solid. If i press the blip on the key while driving it will go out. Doesnt cause the car to cut out or anything.. Also, whats the...

    Stainless backbox replacement (182 Trophy)

I'm sure Last time I asked how much an oe exhaust was on my old 182 a few years back Renault wanted about £800 for the same naff exhaust that rots away

    Stainless backbox replacement (182 Trophy)

The one in your original post is a great exhaust. Not loud at all if you go with the centre silencer option. Decat with the centre silencer also sounds really nice and not obnoxious

    2.25 inch System for 172

Wish I'd had an extra 100 spare when I bought my ktec stealth as it sounds utter crap when pottering about. Hoping a decat with a silenced centre might change things up a bit

    AC Delete

Yeh it still uses the auto tensioner. PMS or cup if you want rid of that.

    AC Delete

Ktec and the cup setup are the same thing. There was also a guide to do it which cost around 12 quid and just involved replacing the idler pulley for one with teeth and running the belt under it rather than over it.

    AC Delete

Ktec are selling the kit for £450, bit steep that don't you think

I think tension is adjusted by a slider bolt on the alternator bracket
