any decat that uses the olive joint should fit iirc as ktec actually supply the sleeve to fit it onto the standard cat which uses an olive joint.
ive got a ktecsupersport and it came with a little sleeve adapter to attach it to my standard cat using the olive joint but the decat i ordered with...
same happened to me a few years ago when i had a 1.2 and it turned out to be a dodgy tdc sensor, i recon its probably coincidence that it worked after u locked the doors
i would say theres something up with your car mate, after owning my 182 for 3 years 36 mpg is the first time ive seen it go below 40 on a motorway run doing the legal speed limit.
Yeh ano, itl have to wait another 6 months though untill i next go down to visit my nan, cant afford another 50 quid of fuel lol.
Seems daft, but thinking about it on the way back i was pretty much alone most of the time, wheras on the way down i was cruising behind another car for a good chunk...
Just did a trip down to heartforshire in the 182 on a full tank of vpower.
on the way there the cruise controll was set at bang on 70 all the way there pretty much, think i had to use the clutch about 3 times for the odd roundabout and i averaged 43mpg when i got there.
on the way back i reset...
i need a couple of new tyres for the front of the 182.
ive currently got goodyear eagle gsd3's on the front which i have been very happy with but i cant seem to find em anymore.
on the rear are toyo t1r's which im not very pleased with.
im thinking hankook evo v12, 205 45 16, any other...
Supposed to be 75w80 I think but I've seen Fred reccomend 75w90 loads of times, I swapped mine out for some 75w90 and can't say as I noticed any difference really.
I used carlube , was about 20 quid for 4.55 litres
wow 190k.
whats the life usually like on a clutch for these cars? Ive had my 182 for 3 years and im now on 81k so im saving up for a new clutch as i always though it would be near the end of its life at that sort of mileage
The car never gets driven hard.
looks great mate, i wish i could afford one, i heard one the other day and it sounded awesome, made my decat janspeed supersport sound like a wet fart lol.
Mine gets drove like a granny as the engine is not even up to temp by the time I've made it to work.
Oh well I didn't buy it for economy, just seems weird that I see some people claiming they get 35mpg town driving
My day to day journey is 3 miles each way. I've never seen over 30mpg. I thought my lambda was nackered so went out on a run up and down the motorway and got over 40.
right so got it all on and together. Will that cone filter be a bit restrictive, it looks a tad smaller than the "twin cone filter" people use.
also, has anybody got any ideas as the what would be the best way of securing it in place as because the standard elbow is flexable the cone is...
Well I ordered an alloy bend and a k and n cone filter, didnt like the look of the "twin cone filter" , performance probably will be the same. I want a samco induction hose but the 80 quid price on it means I might aswel have bought the ktec kit.
Hopefully one will pop up on eBay for cheap...
cool.
Actually, ive just realised.
Surely i could have the standard 182 plastic bend then just have the new aluminium bend coming out of the standard 182 bend into the cone filter? Or would the 182 standard bend be too long?
Cool thanks guys.
Im struggling working out what size breather filter to get.
Does it need to go onto the end of the current pipe from from the breather or do i need to scrap the pipe and put the breather filter directly onto the engine in which case a 14mm internal diameter breater would be...
last question, im about to order all the bits, but what do i use to support the wieght of the filter? Or do people just let it hang in front of the battery?
Syko that's brill mate thanks.
Sj2112, I would buy the ktec as I know it will fit spot on but its a lot of money for what it is.
I recon all this home made kit for about 60 quid should perform just as good and also sound just as nice as the ktec, after all its just an open cone with a...
So as long as the filter, silicone bend and the cone filter are all 70mm then it should all for together nicely?
Are these the sort of things I could pick up In a motor factors like motor world? I hate waiting on item from eBay lol.
Does anybody know what size breather filter I need to...
So so far I've got
