I see the new must have air filter set up seems to be an open cone in front of the battery.
What's a good elbow and cone that doesn't cost 167 quid to make? I saw some good home made ones but can't find the thread to the parts used.
I've found this wing mirror as some **** decided to nok mine off.
Has anybody ever used this company? It says its heated and electric but for 20 quid it seems too good to be true

I usually give mine untill the themp gauge gets to half way and then another 5 minutes or so just to make sure the oil is upto temp aswel.
If yours is still hitting the early limiter after that then id reccomend getting a new thermostat and maybe a new coolant temp sensor.
ive got a janspeed exhaust 2.25 with decat.
Ive also got the matching silenced center section which i put on occasionally and it really does tame down the sound. But then i get bored and put the straight through section back on.
when i first put my decat on the light would come on all the time and i turned it off with my handheld code reader.
after having my car mappped with an rs tuner i havent seen the light since, this is getting on for 2 years now.
if its rear then just buy some new genuine disks as they come with new bearings pressed in and are only about 80 quid.
if its front then the bearing can be had for a tenner give or take a few quid then maybe an hour or so labour to get somebody to press the old ones out and the new ones in.
When the temp gauge gets to half way it will let you redline it.
However if yours isn't getting to halfway then that suggests a new thermostat required
I've had my piperx panel on for about 10k now so its time for a clean.
I seem to remember when I got it it was caked in filter oil but as it was brand new I assumed this was normal.
After reading it seems they don't need too much oil on. So I've just cleaned it with warm water and...
since buying mine ive used millers, elf evo and carlube tripple r all in the 5w40. the engine seemed to run quieter at tickover with the elf, but without comparing side vy side its hard to tell if it really was quieter or just in my head
yeh i thought that, just wasnt sure weather the 3 year thing maybe be because the rubber breaks down over time no matter what the milage the car is used everyday, it just doesnt go very far, 4 miles a day tops
My car had both belt kits changed almost 3 years ago which is the interval for the aux belt.
I have only done 12 000miles since that, should I do the tensions or just the belt?
just found this part on the net http://www.aepdirect.com/wing-mirror-left-hand-electric-heated-with-separate-primed-cover-p1548?category_id=3822
I will need to spray it bg which is going to be a bit of a b**ch i recon. They do one which they say comes in black but im guessing that this will be...
Came out of work today to find my wingmirror snapped off.
Any ideas how much they cost new from renault? Its the one with electrical mirror and the black nipple sensor.
Do they come as a complete unit with the triangle bit which is mounted on the door?
Yeh I knew he was talking out his arse when he was telling me, but I didn't really give a toss I just wanted it to pass.
I've put the decat back on now anyway but I've now got a good condition real 182 cat sat in my garage.
Yeh I'm pretty sure its a cat, its got a honeycomb structure and gets stinking red hot.
The car runs perfect so I'm pretty sure its the cat then if its just high c02.
Got a mate who works at kwik fit so he just tested it for me an it failed again. so looks like I paid 30 quid for them to pass it for me.
however I'm on my way to pick up a genuine 182 cat from local scrappy for next year.
well the garage just phoned and recons that they have now passed it, but its gona cost me 30 quid cos they took off the lambda sensor and cleaned it.
Do you think there having me on and have just passed it and thought its an easy way to make 30 quid? With all the crap a lambda sensor sees i...
yeh i did, managed to get the pump out which was blocked, jets are firing away like a good en now, just the pissing emmissions test i cant pass now lol.
Well it never passed last time so i took it back in today as the mot was nearly out.
Just had my mot this morning and it failed miserably on the emmissions test.
its had a new lambda, cts, thermostat, plugs etc.
On the fail sheet i got it just says co2 emmissions excessive on second fast...
Just failed mot and other than emmissions it failed on blocker windscreen washer. How the hell do I get the bottle out? The windscreen wipers will not come off!
Yeh I see people getting much better mpg from changing the lambda, however my motorway mpg is perfectly fine which makes me think the sensor could be ok.
The last few months I've been averaging 28mpg driving like a granny round town, so I was thinking it may be a lambda problem. However on the motorway at 65 I still get a very good 43mpg.
I used to get 32 town driving so thought about buying a new 02 sensor but if the motorway mpg is still...
