i know it sounds daft but i used to have a 1.2 t reg clio and once it just refused to start, starter motor would turn but it just would not fire up.
It turned out that it was because i had been using the key to manually lock and unlock the car instead of using the blip on the key, the garage...
Spoke to fred on the phone and said id get a pic for him.
The 2 black lines i have drawn are 2 drips which i assume can give some idea as to where its leaking from.
I know they all leak, but this has got worse, i left the car at home for 3 days to find a decent size pool of oil under the...
you dont have to run ron 98 but youl get better performance with it.
Theres no garages near me that do 98 so i have to use 97 but it works fine, runs like crap on 95 though, but it did before the remap aswel.
as said already peak gains will only be around 5bhp depending on the mods done, but its the drivability of the car which vastly improves, low down power is much better and you dont need to thrash it all the way to the 5k kick to get some acceleration.
people worry too much about peak power
Pretty much yeh as most other mods give little gains.
Yeh itbs, turbos and superchargers are all available, and also you've now got the JMS induction manifold which comes very close to itbs.
pas pump maybe. take it back to the garage and see what they say. Mine was done at queens service station and not had a problem with it. Doesnt sound too good though.
my gf has got a 1.2 53 plate and where mine has the screen for temp and track hers is just a recess for putting things.
Think youve bought the wrong hu mate.
I took off my valve and to be honest I still cant hear the induction sound over my exhaust and decat anyway. You can remove one of the pipes yes but it may affect the performance Of the car for the worse.
Well with those mods your not really gona get any major gains from either method of tuning other than improved drivability.
Good thing with rs tuner is you can play about putting pops and bangs on and if it annoys you put it back to stock or try different maps.
But advantage of a map from...
Not sure if happens on all sports but my car seems really chokey below 3k. So I held the revs steady to see if I could hear a missfire and noticed that if I hold the revs at a constant say 2k, it will dip to 1600 then bak to 2000 then 1600 and keeps doing that.
I'm thinking a dodgy sensor...
Hmm that's odd. I changed my gf's the other day on her phase 2 1.2 and it was a screw off plastic filter and then you pull the paper element out and put it into the filter housing and screw back on.
Re: (exhaust+decats)Wich one makes the moast power gains?
Tbh you not going to see noticeable power gains from any exhaust. Maybe a couple of bhp but nothing worth worrying about.
most induction kits will mess up the power deliver and sometimes even reduce top end power.
The only one to my knowledge proven to give gains is the jms induction kit.
mine seems to burn oil.
my combat for it was to buy the cheapest oil so i can service it every 3000 miles and not have to worry about topping it up. Carlube tripple r 5 w40 costs me 21 quid for 5 litres with trade discount. So about half the price as the "good oils" so it gets changed more...
