Ok, probably looking at around 160. I got my radiator for 120 from gsf and took just over an hour to fit myself and I'm useless.
I'm sure garages get parts cheaper.
can anybody shed anymore light on this?
Just found a nice new patch of oil under the gearbox this afternoon so could do with getting it looked at but my closest specialist is rs tuning in leeds.
How much money we thinking?
I'm looking for a guide aswel, I'm sure there is one. I'm going to buy the powerflex bushes after reading good reviews, but I think you need a hydraulic press which I don't have.
Well splashed the cash yesterday and bought of the above as i hear good reviews on it.
I usually wash my car with turtle wax car shampoo and wasnt happy with the results.
Washed with the autoglym and didnt even leather after i rinsed it down, it dried with barely and streaks at all, the...
itl make naff all difference either way on a 1.2 whatever airbox setup your using.
But it is nice to know youve got a nice cool air feed going to the engine
I'm not down on power I don't think, was keeping up with my mates ctr in a 30 to 70 run coming off a roundabout to the dual carriageway It's just the spluttering and the high idle annoying me.
Cheers mate. My knowledge is limited engine wise but I do try and help and relate to things like I would if I was a complete noob.
Audio wise then pm's this way or get onto talk audio ;)
Call it what you want but I'm sure the op will know exactly what I'm talking about when he goes to test it which In my eyes is good help which is what the forum is about.
Boost may have been the wrong word sorry but I'm sure he knows he hasn't got a turbo or sc under the hood so understood...
Warm it up for a good 15 minutes, don't thrash her. Second gear, check for massive boost at 5000 and check if limiter kicks in at around 7200, if it does both then chances are it's running standard.
If it is alot smoother rev wise from 3000 to 7800 then it's probably remapped.
The 5000 rpm...
Tried that ha, had the blow torch to heat it up, wd40, thin oil, will not budge.
Well previous owner did say it's had 2 new lambada but had no receipts.
I'm not sure weather to go for a new lambda or new ht leads? Can only afford 1. 50:50 chance it might fix it lol
If it revs to 7800 when hot it's had an rs tuner map.
Best way to describe it though would be do you get a massive boost in power at 5000 rpm or is it steady all the way?
If you get the massive boost at 5000 then chances are it's running standard map.
Well that was my plan of action but my post cat one has welded itself into my cat which is sat in the garage. Fred sed rear doesn't need plugging in so that can't be the problem
Below 3k if I blip the throttle it sounds really spluttery, and if I leave it ticking over it idles at 1000 when fully warm.
But main thing I've noticed is my tail pipes get black and sutty after about 40 miles.
Currently changed
Coil
Plugs
Stat
Temp sensor
Inlet manifold gasgets
Well waste of 28 quid, still sounds exactly The same. Don't know what else to try other than some New leads. Diagnostics machine says nothing apparently.
Going to get a new coil pack to see if this cures my missfire.
Are 182's as picky with coil packs as they are with spark plugs?
GSF have got one for 28 quid and one for 50 or i could get gebuine for about 65.
Is a coil pack a coil pack sorta thing or will it run like crap like it does...
