Ktec ones are pipercross and many of the experts on here said the piper is the least restrictive.
But in all fairness non of them will make your car any faster
Between 400 and 550 would get you some with tyres which won't need changing for a while and are in good nick.
I want a set but think I'm just going to stick with the anthra 182's
Hmm don't really agree with that comment, I run an alpine unit my self, but some of the best sq units out there are pioneer.
Jack, I understand what your saying mate, but unless done correctly then rears does ruin the sound stage.
Your a fool if you don't want to replace the stock tweeters. It's a 30 minute job.
Anyway
Ditch the rears, ruins the sound stage
Good components in the front, MTX, hertz , focal , jl, the list goes on.
Sub of choice in boot.
4 channel amp to Power sub and components or a mono amp and 2 channel
GET RID OF THE CAP.
Hope the caps make it clear, if they didn't then head over to talk audio and get those guys to tell you again.
Waste of money, does nothing, second battery or just updating the big 3 cables under the bonnet is more use than a cap.
The mtx roadthunder components are very...
Are the 182 bullets made from plastic? I thought they were but mine seem to be going rusty with a tint of green lol.
Can they be cleaned or shall I just buy some new ones?
get the renault one, its only about 20 quid. i got one from gsf for 12 quid an i dont think its operating properly as my car still seems to take forever to warm up. im gona try a renault one when i do my service in a month or so.
Needs a decat for the pops and bangs map.
When I first got my ktec it's used to pop and bang like crazy on a cold start, it sounded mint, and only did it at around 2000rmp, problem is it stopped after about 1 minute lol.
But when I got my car remapped the pops went away completely.
the light above my head in my 182 rattles like crazy and drives me mad lol.
Has anybody found a cure for this that doesnt invole glueing it to the roof lining?
well actually its not just the light, its the entire plastic unit i think.
And a spark plug remover if thats not already in your box of sockets as they are faily deep down and a normal socket with an extension wont be able to grip onto the plug.
get yourself onto talkaudio forum and have a read at why 6x9's are pointless as are any other rear speakers.
Im not going to go into it too much, but they ruin the sound stage. When watching the tv are the speakers on the tv or are all the voices coming from behind you?
If unsure, try it...
The lambda doesn't need to be plugged in, the one in the cat has nothing to do with fueling, all it does is reports the data back.
I ran mine for 3 months without a second lambda plugged in.
