I been thinking the exact same dude, I love the 5k kick, feels like a turbo lol.
I'm planning on getting a few mods, a decat and a remap from jms but I'd miss the 5k kick so I'm not sure what to do lol.
Give him a break man, new threads are helpful for new members and makes searching for...
Ok cheer for that dude. Got any info on this rstuner remap?
What about de cat, does that effect the mpg at all as I was planning on buying 1 in a few weeks after my mot
How much is a basic remap for my standard car? My only concern is increased fuel consumption from a remap, inlet porting I've heard can give a better fuel economy

The ones ive seen on ktec say they only work with certain catbak systems.
Is this the same or will this one fit with my stock exhaust...
You could get an ecu fault reader off eBay, I got one for 20 quid and it allows me to read and clear codes. For 20 quid ts worth it so u can do it again as most garages charge 40 quid
Stock backbox is about 800 from Renault last time I looked. Most full cat back systems are only about 350, and as said milteks aren't that loud and don't rot as fast as standard. I rang a local parts place and they said 600 for a replica of a genuine. Plus youl get an extra 3 bhp from an...
Nah I never use the air con.
EDit - now i feel like a dik ha. Yep air con was switches on for some reason, mate must have turned it on this morning and i didnt realise lol.

Just noticed this today, not sure if i nocked something or what when changing my plugs and oil but now when i start the engine the cooling fan spins up when i start the engine even if the engine has been sat for a few hours?
Not sure what it is but now there's a very faint whistling sound when revving the engine. All I can think is it might be the inlet manifold leaking as I didn't change the gasget?
Any ideas?
Does anybody bother with the plastic cover under the engine?
I took mine off today to change the oil and saw its also got a giant sponge like thing over it aswel. Is it ok to just put the plastic back on without the sponge thing as mines ripped
I was under the impression these cars have some sort of rev protection when cold but I thort it was a little higher than 3k thought.
Question is, why would you want to give a cold engine some stick?
Got any info on this mate? Seems a much cheaper alternative to me having to splash 400 notes on a new system. Does it sound much different to if I kept stock backbox and cat and just put a straight though center section on?
Will I loose any power by doing it?
Right well dorset is pretty far from here so if i get 1 ill probably buy it from you and get a local place to fit it me.
so 383 delivered to my door? Have to see how much ive got left after holiday lol.
But it definatly sounds alot better than stock?
Looking for get a new cat back system for my 182.
I want one thats loud when booting it but not annoyingly loud at low speeds so not sure whatl be the best for me.
Also are there any guys on here that supply and fit them for good prices? Ive just been quoted just over 500 for a cat back...

New plugs shud be here by then aswel so might aswel do it all at same time, i think its still on original plugs at 68k.
Been to get all the materials today for my service and no shops had a sump plug washer in, does it need changing everytime or should i just do it and nip it up very tight?
Just thought id ad that running the cables seperate makes no difference, if its easier to run them together do it.
Alternator whine and interferences is caused by bad earths and dodgy head unit earth tracks and crap rca cables. There was a big discussion about it on talk audio a while ago...
sorted, looks easy enough to get to.
My fuel rail guard has got 1 of its bolts missin, wondered why it rattles. Look like very odd bolts aswel.
When removing the filter is it advisable to cover up the sensor below to the right of the filter as i can see oil getting all over it.
As title really, what's the best way of going about it? From underneath or above? I just can't get my hand to it lol.
Also, quick question about how hot it should be running ? I've noticed that even after almost 2 hours after drivin the engine is still hot, the plenum stays really hot.
