Well my emmissions light has come back on so theres definatly something wrong as it failed the emmissions test on the mot last week.
Car is running perfectly fine, averaged 41mpg down the motorway earlier.

It's sort of a pop and seems as if it's coming from middle of the car and I can sort of feel It when it does it, feels like a quick kik in the back of my chair.
R8, fit my ktek cat back today and t looks and sounds quality.
However, if I rev it in second and then let my foot off the gas there's a pop sort of noise but I'm pretty sure it's not a back fire sort of pop.
My dad thinks it could be because I did ball an socket joint at the cat up too...
Probably about an hours labour, but give it a go at doing yourself, I stripped my old system last night, putting the new one in looks as if it will be easier than taking the oem off lol.

Ah right so mine must have had a new center section at some point then so i should be able to just unjoin it and get the lot off easy enough.
The backbox looks like a standard one, but the center section must have been changed at some point, its not rusty, and its not all one piece.
Ive just ordered my janspeed cat bak system from ktec and have been reading alot of threads on here about going about lowering the rear beam to get the old system off.
is this because the backboxes are welded onto the center section?

My cooling fan like never ever comes on unless i puut the air con on. Even if i let it sit on the drive for ages ticking over.
Does the coolant temp sensor tell the ecu to turn the fan on?
could a dodgy temp sensor effect the emmissions?
yeh thats pretty much what mechanic next door said because its going to be hard to find it properly without stripping the front of the car and having a look at the rad.
nah, if you look in the centre of the picture you can see a splash mark on the bottom of the pannel. like directly below the big pipe.
yeh ive tried that and still see nothing lol untill about an hour after ive drove it.
ive just took a pic of where the stains are. Its crazy though because i can sit on the drive with the engine running for ages staring into the engine bay and nothing leaks out. But as soon as i get back from a drive there as these splashed as seen in this picture on the bottom.
Sound, I'll have to get onto it tomorow then.
So just to confirm then, the Rt419 will fit fine then? Or should I go for one of the expensive ones from gsf?
well ive foned renault and they told me that the ph1 and 182 is the same rad.
now i just need a bit of help getting the old 1 out so i can double check it is the rad that is leaking.
anybody in the rotherham area clued up whos fancys having a look to see if they can spot the leak?

kk, is there any way of double checking it? Should it be a direct fit? Ive rang all my local places like bullseye and gsf and they all want 150 quid. Any reason that they will be better than the adrad ones?
On this site there are 2 radiators which say theyl do a clio 2.0. Mine is a 182 with air con but both those radiators say they do one with air con.
I rang them up and they wernt too sure so thought id ask you lot first before i order it...
Hmm don't think the rad is block, I gave it a good run earlier and te bottom pipe got warm.
Surely if the thermotat was nackered it would overheat? The needle never goes over halfway.
But now the leak is a drip however only happens when in packed up a curb lol, but the drips are like in...
Well I'm not sure what's the problem now.
I've noticed that the bottom pipe coming out of the radiator is cold, wheras the pipe going in is red hot.
Also the coolant bottle, I thought that there should be coolant trickling back in through the top pipe, but nothing is hapening and the pipe...
I'm still struggling to find the leak, had the engine warm and bled it ano now nothing leaking so I don't know what to do. I've bought some new coolant but there's no point me putting it in untill i've Found the leak.
