im feeling this pain at the moment, seems to be 1 thing after another at the moment.
hardly spent a penny on my 10 year old phase 1 after owning it 3 years
Yeh ive seen them samcos kits.
is there no way of bodging the hose with sealent or something, im really running out of money now lol, needs a new exhaust soon as stock one is rotting.
Well the car went for its mot with the coolant at the full mark like it has been for the past month with no leaks.
Got it home to find that the coolant is now slowly dripping from what i can see seems to be the t junction at the bottom hose which comes out of the radiator.
The bottle was...
bumping an old thread here as its the only one i can find with any pictures.
Im going to change my coolant, but i cant seem to find the bleed nipple.
Is it any of the ones in this picture?
he said hed tryed that giving it some revs.
just noticed aswel that now its back from the mot the coolant level has dropped to minumum wheras before it was at maximum?
Well ive just gave them another ring, and for 400 fitted they do a single backbox 1 which is loud, and for 450 they do a twin backbox one like the milltek to quieten things down a bit.
Im not sure what to choose when i could get a milltek off ktek for 380 and get it fit pretty cheap.
Mot tester man says that the cat was just doing nothing. Ive had a look under the car and the cat looks faily new. Car is running fine, so i dont think the lambda before cat is failing.
The emmissions light came on a few week ago but turned it off and it never came back on.
All i can think...
I second this, could do with knowing, however they quoted me 450 for a cat back fitted, which I wasn't too sure about cos I could get a milltek for cheaper
Well got my 182 and love it but it does drink its fair share of petrol.
How do you guys drive to get best mpg?
On motorways if i set cc to about 60 i can get almost 40mpg but as soon as i get on the streets its really low.
When is the best speed to go into 5th as somebody told me changing...
I ain't got a press lol. I'll see what happens in the morning, just seems a bit of a waste if I don't change the bearings aswel and then if a bearing goes I'll be spendig even more than I would have if I'd just got oe from the start
Just had an idea anyway, the current disks which are on dont look too shabby, theres not really a clear lip on them, so i might just take the disks back and put the pads on, and then when the disks are shot ill get the oe renault ones which come with a new wheel bearing aswel ?
Hmm s**t lol.
Well there's a guy across my street who's a mechanic, works from home and does jobs and he did my wheel bearing in minutes on my old Clio.
So I'll see what he recons as he's got all the tools needed, if not I'll tek em back and get some Renault oe ones.
Got my mot coming up and the rear disks and pads are about dead. SO i went down to bullseye and got some apex one, however they havent got the bearing in the disks like the oe ones come with.
Is it going to be a pain to get the bearing out of the old disk into the new ones?
Stop over complicating things, the simplest setups often sound better.
Don't mix subs itl sound crap.
Yes you can use the same power cable however it needs splitting with a distribution block, however the main cable needs to be thick enough to cope with the load from both amps.
Head...
yeh that probelm is definatly not the tdc sensor, if it was that the engine would turn over but just not fire. I had that on my old 1.2 once and gave it a clean then tried an it was fine for another 2 years.
like the other guy said starter motor maybe.
Front components running off an amp and a sub in the boot bridged off the rear channels or off its own mono amp.
Rear speakers mess with the sound stage, and 6x9's are pointless if youve got a sub anyway
Right, so is there anything underneath it? It's not actualy the rocker cover is it it's an extra bit of metal.
Could I not just drill all the way through it With a 6mm drill bit and then just clamp it down with a nut and bolt??
i though it was sealed but then i realised there another big hole at the rear of the plenum which goes into the rocker cover, i doubt this bit will be sealed as theres only 2 bolts at the back holding the plenum down.
What do i do if it isnt sealed?
Oh and while ur here, whats the ideal...
I was replacing my inlet gasket this morning and when screwing the plenum back down 1 of the bolts to the left of the coil pack managed to strip and now its not gripping it just turns inside, i can get it out but obviously the bolt is doing nothing weather its in or out now.
Im guessing the...
i got a tool off ebay that plugs into ur ecu connector in the centre console and reads codes and removes them.
i used to to turn off my emmissions light.
20 quid well spent i say untill i get my rstuner anyway.
